Very so so

Posted Aug 11, 2014
The room was nothing special. For $200 you would expect a room that was a lot better than what was provided. The upstairs occupant seemed to be moving furniture around in the middle of the night. There is no house phone to call management to complain. The hot tub was not functional. The restaurant was not open for breakfast at 8AM.

Zanadu Room and Jenner Restaraunt

Posted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Customer service and grounds maintenance
Location: Being on the Russian River, it a good location for kayaking. Otherwise, the only good thing about Jenner Inn is its proximity to Bodega Bay.
The Zanadu room on the Russian River was to have a partial view of the river, but actually had no view due to overgrown vegetation that had not been trimmed. The Jenner Restaraunt had apparent staffing problems. My wife and I arrived at our dinner reservation time and were not greeted by anyone. We then sat ourselves in the bar. Twenty minutes ellapsed and nobody acknowledged our existence nor offered bar service. I then requested to be seated at a table which we were. Another 15 minutes ellapsed without any server acknowledgeing us. It was apparent that other customers were equally irritated at the lack of service. We departed the restaraunt and went 200 yards up the road to the River's End restaraunt which was OUTSTANDING. Jenner Inn is experincing a significan problem with insufficient groundskeeping and restaraunt staffing. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

A bit of paradise on the Pacific Coast

Posted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: The view, quiet, location on the estuary, and the nice landscaping were all inviting.
Cons: The restaurant is closed and no food is available from the Inn. They provided coffee in-room but it was Farmer's and not any good.
Location: Goat Rock beach is close and a worthwhile trip, Bodega Bay, site of HItchcock's "The Bird's" is down the road. Explore the coast and Russian River!
The lady was very nice and helpful at check-in and was expecting us. I asked about breakfast and she said the restaurant had been closed for a year so there were no meals, but the room had a refrigerator and full kitchen stocked with dishes so it was easy enough to pick up food items and eat in the wonderful room, with that amazing peaceful view! I preferred having breakfast in privacy in the large, comfortable room that had 2 sofas, a comfy chair, and a nice dining area. The highway was busy around 6AM but I slept very well and the place is so peaceful!

Great place to wake up.

Posted May 19, 2013
Pros: Location.
Cons: Needs a little love.
Location: Coffee and baked goods at Aquatica. Kayaking.
Reserved the tree house and was given the Pelican House-#10. No complaints, as waking up to eyes full of the Russian River meeting the Pacific is nothing but magical. The house was more like staying at a parents or aunts place than a hotel. It was cleaner than most hotels somewhat out dated or perhaps run down but that I don't mind. I would definitely stay again. Yes, you hear the people below you but they probably hear you just as much. Will definitely return.
