My experiencePosted Apr 25, 2015
Everything was good, except the lobby space for breakfast. Only 10 people can have breakfast at a time. So, I needed to take my breakfast by standing in the lobby. Not a big deal, but an area of improvement for the hotel! Thanks, Krishna

One word: fleasPosted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The night manager on the next to last night was professional and responsive.
Cons: Employees should take a Dale Carnegie course or listen to their mothers more. Just be nice.
Location: Della Fattoria and the Seed Bank DO NOT MISS.
This motel rents to people with pets. My room had fleas; when I requested a change on the 3rd of 5 days there, the manager suggested it was something else, not fleas. Unbelievably, we went around and around until he finally said a room change could be made but it would have to happen at noon. My business meetings wouldn't accommodate that. By the third night I had a dozen bites. When I saw a flea on the bed, I phoned the desk and insisted they change rooms or get me a voucher somewhere else. I'd purchased this on Expedia, so no vouchers. This desk clerk (different guy) said no problem, and gave me an upgraded room, on the 2nd floor, with no fleas. Before I checked in on the first day, I called for directions from downtown Petaluma. I'm unfamiliar with the area and was told to continue on the street I was on. That led to the freeway going north. I took the first exit but there wasn't a southbound on ramp. In the daylight I could see all anyone had to say was "bear left" and they would avoid my mistake. I mentioned it and got push back from a young woman. There is no visible sign or other landmark prior to turning onto the road from which the road to the motel turns. Communications continued to be dismal for the five days I was there. TV remote had low batteries in both rooms. Second room had no drain stopper on the bath, so showers were only option. Styrofoam cups for the insipid coffee they offer. Really awful on all counts. Except the last night manager, a gem.

Probably wouldn't stay here again.Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: It was close to where we needed to be.
Cons: A better mattress and odor-free room. Get rid of the automatic lights. There needed to be more ice machines. It was a long walk to get ice.
Location: The location was good and central to a lot of attractions, albeit a little too close to the freeway. There was a lot of freeway noise.
The mattress was lumpy and sagged in the middle and there was a lot of freeway noise. There was an unpleasant odor in the hallways and our room. The automatic lights were annoying if you had to get up in the middle of the night. A night light would have sufficed. Also, there were only 2 ice machines for 7 buildings.

Comfortable but outdatedPosted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: Beautiful grounds....well rounded staff....location
Cons: Some rooms need serious refurbishiing and the ones with hallways need some sort of airing out on a regular basis
Location: Great location with some stores and restaurants close by. Fairly close to the outlet mall.
Our check in was slow due to a glitch in the system (they had to check us in manually) and our room wasn't ready despite the fact that it was well past check in time. Once inside I was a bit disappointed as the hallway leading to our room smelled very odd and the section we were in is in great need of refurbing. It was a bit dreary. I felt that since we booked in on a flight deal, we might have been given sub-standard rooms. The main part of the hotel (really more of a motel) looked like it was in tip top shape. With that said, the grounds were impeccable, the beds were comfortable and the large staff wanted to please. The next morning we were up and ready to shower and get on with our day. We noticed that we had NO shower curtain. We did not have time to wait on one and just showered and cleaned up our water afterward. I let management know so that the problem would get fixed befored the next guest. Kudos to them for hiring a variety of ages and ethnicities onto their staff. I got a kick out of the older groundskeeper!

Small and Noisy, not the best experiencePosted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: generally clean
Cons: noise level, size of the room,
Location: just choose a different hotel, the location isn't bad. lots of office and commercial buildings
The hotel is right beside the freeway and the walls/windows are not insulated at all so you can hear everything outside even conversations from the hallway and people in the parking lot. If you are a light sleeper like me, stay away! The bed I think is ok but the rooms are very small and if you are looking to relax in the wine country area, this is not for you.

Nice place to stay. Everything is clean. One problem was we were without hot water for a night but it was quickly taken care of. Decent breakfast.

Nice and clean hotel with a delicious breakfastPosted Mar 2, 2015
We will for sure be back! Jim at the front desk was super accommodating and was able to get us checked in early so we could get ready for our event. The room was very clean and comfortable. The highlights for us were the friendly stuff and awesome breakfast

We appreciate your comments Alexa. As long as we have rooms available for early check-in, we try very hard to accommodate our guests. We hope you come back and take more time to get to know our area.
