Close to Trondheim airportPosted Jun 1, 2014
Pros: Breakfast buffet
Cons: Limitations to availability of airport shuttle bus should be stated.
Location: Located near Trondheim airport. Good train service nearby. Small shopping centre across the road from the hotel.
Room was small but clean. Breakfast buffet was great. Most of the staff were helpful and pleasant. Shuttle bus to the airport does not run on Saturday but it is a walkable distance if you are able to do so. I preferred the Rica in Svolvaer.

fantastic food, shame about the roomPosted Apr 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
the buffet breakfast and the buffet dinner are among the best that I have ever seen with a rich selection of food including local seafood, The reception hall is beautiful. However, the rooms are without temperature adjustment and road facing room cannot have the windows open to lower the temperature.

Rip-off at Rica Hll Hotel!Posted Aug 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
Admittedly it was a tough week for hoteliers but that's no excuse to provide pathetic service (even by local standards) and charge sky-high prices. They have tried to make amends later but really the check-in day after a 10-hour flight is the make-or-break.

Nice hotel and GREAT restaurantPosted Jul 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
Hotel undergoing some renovations as of 4 July 2012, so the pool was unavailable, and there were some workers around, but it did not affect our stay. Hotel was super, super close to the airport, which made it great for an intermediate, just-spending-the-night place on the way somewhere else. Although it is too far out to use as a base for visiting Trondheim, it was a very nice hotel with a great restaurant (both dinner and breakfast buffet--one of the best I've seen in Norway!) that is used for conferences, and understandably so.

Rica Hell Hotel in Norway - walking distance fromPosted Aug 12, 2011 on Hotels.com
Excellent breakfast buffet included with the hotel room. We enjoyed walking around the little town of Hell. The hotel facilities are very nice.

Don't be put off by the name, close to airportPosted May 25, 2010 on Hotels.com
Walking distance potentially, but hotel has a free shuttlebus that runs to suit you! Despite being near the airport, not noisey. Good food and one of the best breakfasts ever. Opposite a small shopping centre with a good selection of shops and boutiques. I stayed the previous night at the Radisson Blu, but was so disappointed I checked out and stayed here for a lot less££. This is part of a very reputable Nordic chain who have a real sense of caring and friendliness. Don't be put off by the name like my secretary was. Hell in old Norse means cave pretty much! They are currently re-furbishing the sauna and pool area to bring it up to date from it's 80's look. Stay here - it's where a lot of crew stay too. The pilot I spoke to prefers it. They went out of their way to help me with emails, post and lifts here there and everywhere closeby!

Rica Hell Hotel - very good airport hotelPosted May 15, 2010 on Hotels.com
Rica Hell Hotel is a very convenient airport hotel at Trondheim Airport Værnes. Close to the terminal, well developed offer of services; sea view from many rooms, nice and acommodating staff which makes your short stay a pleasant one.

This will be my routine overnight stay.Posted Jan 20, 2010
I needed to stay by the airport since I had an early flight from Værnes the next morning. I chose the Rica Hell Hotel due to its location and familiarity with Rica hotels in general. The room was good along with a large bathroom with full shower. What really impressed me was there was a light breakfast available at 4:30 am and easy shuttle service to Værnes.

Convenient to the airport terminalPosted Aug 7, 2009 on Hotels.com
This is my second or third stay at this hotel. Enjoy the convenience of being able to walk to the train and the airport terminal. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Will stay here again.

Conveniece to AirportPosted Aug 3, 2009 on Hotels.com
We booked hotel because of its convenience to Airport since we were leaving Trondheim early the next morning. Hotel is large, excellent, helpful staff, however we thought there was a shuttle which it did not have and had to take a taxi to the airport (5 minutes away)(and 112NK) since one of our traveling companions had walking issues. Do not stay here if you want convenience to town. Nothing is in close proxmity. Nice breakfast but dinner in restaurant which was similiar to breakfast was VERY expensive. to airport was excellent Convenience to airport was just want we wanted and this is perfect for that
