We were unfortunately quite disappointed with the Scandic Nidelven. Considering a price in the upper range for a hotel of its kind even in Norway, we were slightly irritated to have to switch rooms twice, because both the first and the second room we got had bathrooms that had visibly not been properly cleaned, and neither seemed to have been dusted in a rather long time. Even the third room had some cleanliness issues, and we ended up asking for additional cleaning but finding it ok enough for us to eventually stay there (and at that point, not liking our chances in the event of switching once more). I don't think we're fussy, and it's certainly not something that's happened to us often when traveling.
The receptionist was very friendly about it all and did what she could, plus gave us a voucher for the bar the 2nd time we had to go and complain. Still, we'd have obviously preferred a clean room.
Also, the hallways had a somewhat run-down, stains-on-the-carpet appearance, and the hotel, including the breakfast buffet, was very busy and often crowded, making their hygiene/anti-Covid measures seem pretty perfunctory.
Overall, a disappointing experience and certainly not worth the money.
