Great hotel, wonderful, romantic view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius.
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The concierge managed to get us a seemingly impossible reservation at the phenomenal Don Alfonso restaurant - highly recommended for a special occasion (It's has two Michelin stars and is priced accordingly).
The porter is a real character and his skill are rearranging the cars in the small car park was astonishing! A contender if when the current Stig retires!

Important things you need to know before booking. This is a camp ground. We arranged for their shuttle to pick us up from Naples train station. Try and contact the camp ground to arrange for this. There was a cost to take their shuttle. I stayed in a cabin #26 that sleeps 6. You need to bring or buy toilet paper, and bug spray. If you are going to use the kitchen bring a scrub sponge and dish soap. I was in #26 which had air-conditioning, but we had to pay an extra 10 euros a day to use it. It worked GREAT! It has a special remote. Our TV never worked properly even after they fixed it once. Although it wasn't a big deal to us since we didn't speak Italian. There are a lot of steps and walking on this site. There is a great store on site with almost everything you would need except no converter plugs. We took an excursion to the Amalfi coast which was great but a long boat ride to get there. They have an excursion to Capri also which we passed on. Both excursions can be bought right there at the camp ground...cash only. The staff spoke English and were friendly. Some not so much English. As long as you are ok with 1-2 star accommodations you will be ok.

The room here was very comfortable and staff were all very friendly and helpful. A secure parking area was available close by for our hire car and staff recommended and arranged for booking of a great tour to Paestum shortly after arrival. The breakfast was also very nice. Plentiful good restaurants were available 5 minutes walk away in Marina Grande fishing harbour. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Sorrento, will return.

The hotel has probably one of the best views on the Sorrento coast. Just be careful with leaving snacks in the room. We were infested with ants by day 2!! Also, the spa isn't really a spa so count that out. The food is amazing and the service was outstanding. Overall an amazing experience.

This secluded resort really blew us both away; hidden in a cove down from Vico Equence gave it a very relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful cliffs and sea overlooking Mount Vesuvius. The hotel itself was lovely, well decorated with a mix of old and new style. The facilities were great and staff very welcoming who were happy to fulfil every request. The hotel private beach was lovely, mainly pebble but the sea was so close you weren’t walking in it for very long. There were mainly Italian guests at the resort which in my view is a good sign. The hotel restaurant although expensive was exquisite, the chef was amazing. The hotel is a short (though uphill walk) to Vico Equence, but the hotel offers a shuttle whenever you need it which will take you into town or the train station.
It’s the perfect base to explore the surrounding areas, like Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi, as well as the excavation areas of Pompeii and Herculaneum (the latter is the better site in our opinion)
The public transport system here is amazing and very cheap, catch the SITA bus if you intend to explore the Amalfi coast it was 6 euros each for the day and you catch this in Sorrento just outside of Sorrento train station.
I would recommend this resort to anyone; we had the most amazing time here in this beautiful hotel and hope to return one day in the future.

The hotel is perfect for folks who want the beach more than anything else. It does have a private beach just down the steps from the hotel's deck. The beach is well taken care of - on the last day we saw a small bulldozer leveling the pebbles. That's right - pebbles. You won't find good sand anywhere in Sorrento.
The hotel is way off the main drag, but it has a free-during-the-day, 1 euro at night shuttle that goes back and forth every hour and takes you right to downtown Sorrento. Note that there's a no-shuttle window between 6:30 and 10 pm to get back to the hotel. The shuttle was always on time, sometimes early, and it makes you appreciate and admire Italian driving. :) The shuttle rides takes ~15 minutes.
Do contact the hotel prior to your arrival if you are arriving by train and arrange for the shuttle pickup.
Most of the guests in the hotel were older folks - in fact, other than me and my wife and another young married couple, everybody else was in the 50s-60s-... You won't find any nightlife activities at the hotel or in the surrounding area. They had live music every night - typical Italian repertoire. So if action is what you are after, stay in Sorrento (this hotel is technically speaking is located in Meta). Not that there's much action at night anyway - we saw ads for a couple of clubs, but didn't get a sense that there was much to do after the dinner.
So, to summarize, if you want the beach in Sorrento, this hotel is a great choice.
