Superb hotel, centrally situated.Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: The facilities e.g. swimming pool which was very clean and pool bar which served great food! We would recommend the Insalata Caprese!
Cons: Some tonic water in our fridge!!
Location: Great location close to shops, port and harbour. Loads of restaurants close by.
We had a fantastic holiday; the staff at the hotel are amazing. Everyone we met was polite and helpful. The hotel is in a great position; it is easy to get to the Port, old fishing village or wander in the many cobbled streets with a variety of shops and restaurants close by.

Well located, close to restaurantsPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Excellent sea view. Good location.
Cons: Room that we stayed in was tight and had dated decor.
Location: Location was just off the beach. Within five minutes walk from very good restaurants, shopping and close to two main squares(piazzas)
Very good but older hotel. Sea view room had excellent views. Clean with courteous staff. Very good breakfast. Very good location, close to restaurants and shopping.

Beautiful hotel with excellent facilitiesPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Excellent location, clean and comfortable with very friendly staff
Cons: If I had to find something, I would suggest maybe a few more coathangers, but that is being very picky!!!! I usually pack my own anyway!
Location: Close to old town with numerous restaurants and shops. Easy access to beach, port and Marina Grande for boat trips.
Stayed here in July for 10 days. We decided to revisit Sorrento and as we had such a good experience at the Continental two years ago thought we would stay there again - we were not disappointed. Apart from its excellent location close to the old town there is also direct access to the beach from the hotel lift. We recognised the majority of the hotel staff who again made us feel very welcome. As before our room was spotless and comfortable. The pool area now has the added attraction of a jacuzzi which was very relaxing. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent and had even more choice than last time, which I did not think was possible but on 2 occasions I spotted my favourite smoked salmon which I had with scrambled eggs - could'nt quite manage the prosecco that early in the morning! We will certainly stay there again.

Friendly hotel in a great locationPosted Jun 10, 2015
Cons: Paying for the beach was a surprise and a bit expensive.
Location: Central location but mostly quiet. All is Sorrento is on your doorstep. Public transport good for most sights.
Great welcome, faultless staff who have a relaxed approach to meeting your every need. Amazing choice at breakfast. Really good restaurant that is good value. Lovely pool and garden with a bar/cafe.

Perfekt gelegenes, ruhiges Hotel.Posted Jun 8, 2015
Cons: Mehr Frisches beim Frühstück.
Waren vier Nächte da. Guter Startpunkt für Pompeji, Vesuv etc. Tolle Lage am Strand, direkt neben der Altstadt. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Einzige Kritik: Frühstück zwar reichhaltig, aber kaum frische Artikel.

Old fashioned Service, Modern ComfortPosted Jun 5, 2015
Pros: Everything even the tiny lifts including one down to the beach and the decent size pool. The staff are amazing.
Cons: Some tissues in the bedroom would be nice but really, it was near perfect.
Location: Pompeii and Vesuvius.....tours are a bit overcrowded. Boat trip to Capri was a highlight....so beautiful if expensive.
We stayed four nights at the Continental and I have to say it was among the best holidays anywhere ever. A room with no view turned out to be very comfortable indeed with all mod cons and a view of the hills. The breakfast is first rate with almost every conceivable taste catered for.....five varieties of honey for heavens sake. A special mention for the staff who are extraordinary in their helpfulness and desire to please. Drinks and dinner on the terrace overlooking the Bay of Naples will linger in the memory for a long time. The Continental has the distinct advantage of being located close to the town centre for convenience but far enough away to avoid the crowds and the noise. We were there at the beginning of June which is probably optimal for price and weather not to mention getting the best from Sorrento which is such a lovely place. Do take a boat trip to Capri....

Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Upgraded room, dealt with luggage and car, printed our boarding passes for us and made helpful recommendations regarding venues and menu orders. We loved it and look forward to returning.
