“Italy aniversary Oct 2011”
Hotel Ambasciatori was perfect in every way, location, staff, breakfast, room view, short distance to central Sorrrento, Staff advice on resturants was excellent, had our aniversary dinner at Tarros, excellent, Boat ride to capri with tour was excellent.
“Fantastic experience”
Great hotel....unbelievable views.......beautiful grounds.......service and friendliness of staff was outstanding!!!
“Excellent Restaurant and View”
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of September. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the lobby area was and the size of the room as well. We really enjoyed the outdoor bar and accompanying tables with a fantastic view of the Bay. We didn't get the chance to get in the pool but it looked pleasant. It was only about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Though, we took cabs with our luggage because we didn't want to haul it through the narrow streets. But, you could easily take your luggage on foot if you don't mind the narrow streets and potential crowds. Lastly, the restaurant in the hotel was superb. We ended up dining there both nights. It was a little pricey but worth every euro. It included the salad bar, a first course (pasta dish), a second course (entree) and a dessert. The menu changed each night so there were lots of options. The breakfast was also wonderful. The best cappuccinos I had the entire visit.
“Great hotel”
Great hotel, fantastic views, friendly service, great breakfast. Would highly recommend. Only negative, for some, would be a easy 5 minute walk into town. The views on this walk were incredible and we needed to work off pizza and gelato. The staff did a great job in recommending places to eat.
“Would rebook next trip”
Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast. Comfortable size rooms.
“Exceeded our expectations”
We were late arriving at the hotel...almost 10 pm...and had not eaten since lunchtime. Giovanni and his staff kept the dining room open for us (4), prepared excellent meals, and served us graciously and patiently, allowing us to relax, unwind and enjoy our dinner. That theme existed throughout our stay, and in my 40 years of business and personal travel, have not experienced a more helpful staff. Directions, sightseeing and transportation suggestions, restaurant recomendations...all delivered warmly and respectfully, and in perfect English. The hotel is spotless, the location convenient, the neighborhood quiet, and the vistas magnificent. Ideal base for touring other stops on the Coast such as Positano and Amalfi, and for the boat trip over to Capri. Our friends and we agreed that we would definitely return.
“Great Hotel in Sorento”
Full service hotel. Staff was helpful and courteous. Everyone spoke English. Room was large and clean.
“Exquisite seaside breakfast.”
Our family of 5 with two teenage girls and one grandmother thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sorrento in no small part due to this hotel. It was classy, clean, neat, and beautiful. The staff was excellent. The rooms were spacious and the beds were so very comfortable. The bathrooms were large enough and spotless. The breakfast buffet was superb and the view on the veranda restaurant of the bay of Naples was exquisite. We found a quiet spot on the grounds to enjoy drinks at the end of the day. The girls enjoyed swimming in the ocean at their little "beach." Our only 2 complaints were that the pool and beach were closed at 6pm - and our bath tubs were configured strange - so that there was not really a flat part on the bottom. Neither of those 2 problems should deter anyone from staying there. We heartily recommend it. A slice of heaven on the Mediterranean.

“One of the Best”
The view of the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius was spectacular. The accommodations were lush. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. And while I generally to not like to eat at the hotel, we enjoyed two wonderful dinners at the hotel restaurant (which also overlooks the Bay of Naples and Mt Vesuvius) which rivalled any that we had during our two weeks in Italy. I would go back in a heartbeat and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sorrento. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the trainstation.
