Beautiful hotel with great viewsPosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: The views, friendliness of the staff, beautiful hotel
Location: The hotel is just a little way out of town (about 10mins walk from Piazzo Tasso). This meant it was nice and quiet. Also convenient for the station
We stayed in Sorrento for 7 nights and the hotel was lovely. It was beautiful throughout, clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was really comfortable and the view from our room was brilliant. Also the breakfast options were plentify and very tasty.

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous locationPosted Oct 28, 2014
Pros: Beautiful and comfortable hotel overlooking the sea. Location on a quiet street away from the crowds in the center of town.
Cons: Balconies are quite small, too small for 2 people to sit and be comfortable.
Location: Close to the center of town and not too far from the funicular or walk down to the harbor. We took a marvelous jet boat to Positano.
The hotel was lovely and located on a quiet street away from the crowded and noisy center of town. Our room was nice, but the best part of staying in this hotel is the grounds with its gardens and places to sit and enjoy the views of the harbor and sea. The breakfast buffet was outstanding.

Beautiful hotel for any occasion.Posted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: The food, service, staff location and the hotel itself. Absolutely loved it was the perfect place for our anniversary and would defintively recommend.
Cons: Tea and coffee facilities in the room.
Location: About 10 minutes into Sorrento centre easy walk on one level pleasant views along the way.
Just spent 8 days at this hotel for our silver wedding in a superior double room on half board basis. The hotel is fabulous excellent service throughout from chambermaids to restaurant staff, the food was amazing beautifully presented both breakfast and evening meal. We were looked after very well and on our anniversary the staff made us an anniversary card for our table. The restaurant staff, maitre de, waiters and reception staff were so friendly and helpful when we needed information. We would definitely return , the views from the terraces were amazing it really is a jewel in sorrento's crown.

A touch of luxury in a romantic cliff-top locationPosted Oct 25, 2014
Pros: Location, quality, service were all excellent. We intend to go back there next year for a longer period if we can.
Cons: The hotel provided an excellent buffet breakfast but the other meals appeared rather expensive and we did not therefore eat lunches and dinners there.
Location: There are plenty of other excursions available, including day trips to the island of Capri or to the Amalfi Coast.
We stayed at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori for a short break to celebrate my 50th birthday and absolutely loved it! We'd opted for a Premier room (really, a junior suite) which was more or less built into the cliff-face and looked out over the bay directly towards Naples and Vesuvius, a view that was absolutely stunning. We believe that the hotel has recently been refurbished as everything was absolutely pristine: the attention to detail was really apparent. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, all making for a wonderful stay. Sorrento itself is colourful, with so many good places to eat and shop. As we were only there for a few days, we'd decided to go all action and had therefore booked up excursions to Pompeii, Vesuvius and Herculaneum. These departed from the local bus station, an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel, and were all fascinating in their different ways. Please be advised however that the walk up to the summit of Vesuvius's crater is very steep, something about which we were not really warned (although achieving the top did create a real sense of accomplishment!).

An elegant hotel, set in a well kept park.Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Charming bar staff and desk staff very helpful with making restaurant bookings. Outstanding breakfast array
Cons: A slightly prompter service in making up room.
Location: Away from the busy heart of Sorrento but close enough to walk to centre and port.
I enjoyed the terraces overlooking the Bay of Naples and having a lunch-time drink before a garden lunch.

Chilled with a viewPosted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: We were impressed by the position of the hotel and the view it provided over the bay towards Capri and Vesuvius. The gardens were also a favourite.
Cons: The balconies are not very private and unless we pulled the curtains the inside of our room was easily visible by guests in other rooms.
Location: If walking there is a lovely view of the bay. Also a citrus orchard where you can taste and buy limoncello
We stayed at this hotel for our 30th wedding anniversary. The hotel is positioned right on the cliff top, a little way out from the centre of town. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, is light and spacious. The rooms are a good size and are very comfortable. The gardens of the hotel are lovely; planted with lemon trees and wisteria. There are little nooks in which to sit or sunbathe as well as sunbeds around the pool and on the bathing platform. Breakfast is plentiful and can be eaten in the restaurant or on the terrace. We also ate at lunchtime at the hotel where there is an extensive menu and you can sit and enjoy the sea view.
