Large hotel with good viewsPosted Oct 30, 2013
Fairly standard hotel stay. Okay for a couple of days, but not for a longer holiday. Pool is pretty cool.

Nice hotel, good view if you are facing the water.Posted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: The views from all the different sitting areas in the hotel and the balconies looking out on the water. There was music in the lounge in the evening.
Cons: Towels were clean but not fluffy. A/C was turned off with electricity when you were not in the room.
Location: You can go to Capri, Pompeii and many other historic sites with tours or on your own. Location was great walking distance to the center of the town.
The hotel was very nice, our room did not have a good view, we had a small courtyard and no ocean view. The towels were okay but not fluffy seemed to be overused but they were clean. The air conditioning was preset at a level that was high around 75 degrees and when you left the room the electricity was disconnected so there was no air conditioning when you were not in the room. I think in the summer hot months that might be a problem. Very easy walking distance to Sorrento, beautiful views in the lounge and the evening music was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Nice hotel, a bit opulentPosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: The views were great. Breakfast was included and cooked to order and the view from the restaurant was great. The staff was great and helpful.
Cons: It's nice but really gaudy. Everything was white and tile or marble.

superb hotel with stunning views from our room.Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: everything, it was 4star rated but passed for 5 star.more variety
Cons: more variety of food for breakfast.
Location: as mentioned above, boat trips, market stalls, plenty of places to eat and drink.
our hotel was situated half way up a cliff face, the entrance to the hotel was very grand. due to its position the views were breathtaking. a 15 minute walk took you into the centre where you found a warren of passages full of shops, cafes, restaurants. ferry boats to capri and various places were within easy reach of the centre. almost everyone spoke english, local busses were easy to use.

Great hotel in SorrentoPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The location was perfect for us. The room was great and the views were stunning over the pools. The best thing was the big shower and deep bath.
Location: Easy to walk into town, to explore Sorrento and get to the port for Capri and Amalfi. Pompeii is 30/40 minutes by train
The hotel was perfect for our 5 day stay in Sorrento. We arrived from the Port and got a taxi to the hotel, but it is easy enough to walk to from the train station or the port (although using the elevator!). The hotel was perfect for a 5 minute walk into the centre of town, and had great surroundings at the base of the hill. The reception is on the 5th floor giving a great view on arrival. The room was spacious and had a lovely little balcony (although we did pay to upgrade the room on booking so that we had a sea view) The pools are lovely (with great views over Sorrento and the Bay of Naples), and the hotel is immaculate. The breakfast buffet was fantastic (even offering free Prosecco), with a variety of cold food and freshly cooked hot food. The lunch we had at the terrace bar was one of the best meals we had- sadly we didn't go there until our last day.

We had a problem with noise from next door, but the next day they moved us. Breakfast was very nice and in a lovely open room with view. Very excessable to the main square. We were very pleased.

Beautiful Hotel in Beautiful locationPosted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Multi-sectioned, to get to our area of hotel we need to walk through 40 metre tunnel in to the mountain, then be lift to our room.
Cons: The rooms smelt of cleaning products after they had been made up each day, this smell didn't seem to leave. View passport , not retain it.
Location: Located on edge of bay, with fantastic views over the water. No need to leave hotel if you don't want to, lunch by the pool, dinner on the balconies.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, all services and WiFi in rooms. Great complimentary breakfast with chief to to cook you omelettes of your choice and can sit with a view to die for. Recommended for ferry tour trip to see the Blue Grotto on the Isle of Capri, but when we arrived we where told that it was "high tide" and would not be able to see it, I would have thought tides are mostly predictable, and expected to be told it would not be available to see at that time of the day, if I was aware we would not be able to see the Blue Gotto, I would not have booked that tour, felt conned. Recommend taking a public ferry for a cheaper price and doing Blue Grotto from the Island side and not by organised ferry.

Nice hotel. Easy walking to town centerPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: clean, decent location.
Cons: Attentive staff
Hotel staff was not very friendly. Upon check in, we were told we had two reservations and would be charged a no show fee. Despite our attempt to dispute, they still charged our credit card.

Lovely views, short walk to centre of resortPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: The best thing about this hotel is the views - they are as good in real life as they look on the websites, which is rare.
Cons: Some of the decor could be updated. The service at lunch was quite slow.
Location: Hotel is 5 -10 min walk from centre of Sorrento, with many shops and restaurants - strongly recommend Ristorante da Gigino and Antica Gelateria
Overall we were pleased with the choice to stay in this hotel - it is quite pricey and is more than I would normally pay but the views were absolutely stunning and it was generally a high standard of accommodation. We paid for a standard room and I put a request for a sea view if possible on the expedia booking, which we did get! Breakfast was very nice - usual choice of continental breakfast, fruit, cereal etc with the option of cooked breakfast for those who wanted it. Omelettes and eggs cooked to your specification. We only had breakfast included in our package so we did not eat dinner in the hotel as there were so many nice (and cheaper) restaurants to choose from in Sorrento. We had lunch there 1 day and service was quite slow, food was average so we didn't repeat the experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful other than the lunch experience. It was very useful having free wifi in our room and there were also two PCs in the reception area for guest use.
