Excellent Hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Exceptionally clean and very good breakfast's.
Cons: As English guests, the old chestnut of Tea making facilities in the room would be good.
Location: Only 10 minutes walk from Tasso Square and the access to the beach area from the sister Hotel, the Royal was useful.
Excellent Hotel with very friendly Staff. Well maintained and pleasantly cool. The Rooftop Pool and Bar, with views 'to die for' was an added bonus.

Very nice hotel and well situated.

Pros: Dining experience
Cons: Need details of purchases when signing for drinks/food in the hotel.
Location: The location is spot on close to the centre but far enough away for peace.
The staff at this classic hotel make sure you have a wonderful stay.

Great place to stay

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: The staff in this hotel have got the balance just right. They were fantastic as was the roof top pool.
Cons: A copy (itemised if possible) of bar and food bills would help.
Location: A fabulous place to stay. Plenty of hotels and eateries but avoid the tourist areas for the best deals for food and holiday gifts.
Arrived mid morning and our rooms were ready for us. Reception staff could not be more helpful in giving us information on the area and hotel facilities.

Hotel location excellent, quiet and night but not too far to walk into the main piazza. We were B&B and the breakfast was excellent.

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: Location, facilities, excellent staff
We recently stayed here for a week and had an absolutely incredible stay. The hotel is in a nearly perfect location, close enough to be an easy walk to the center of town, but far enough away that it is nice and quiet at night. The hotel facilities are very nice. We very much enjoyed sitting in the garden and sipping drinks in the afternoon, and the roof-top pool provided stunning views of the bay. I think what sets this hotel apart however is the incredibly friendly, helpful staff. EVERY staff member that we encountered greeted us with a smile and did everything in their power to make sure our stay was nothing but excellent. We were sad to leave this incredible hotel at the end of our stay, and will definitely be back.

excellence

Pros: Everything
Cons: Tea/coffee making facilities in room would be nice
Location: Plenty of eating places nearby. Trips to Capri etc all handy 10 min walk to most things. Bus station close by for trips .
this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Our room was spotless, good temperature. Plenty of wardrobe and draw space. Full length mirrors which I like. It even had a 3 point socket! The staff are all incredibly helpful, cheerful, happy people. The Dining room and bar areas are lovely, comfortable and again spotless. It was lovely to be able to eat our breakfast outside. The breakfast was superb, plenty of choice. The evening meal we had in the hotel was first class, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would go back and would recommend to anyone. On reflection I cant think of a single thing that we didn't like. I forgot to mention there are two swimming pools, one on roof with spectacular views, small pool and another bigger pool downstairs, both great.

Almost but not quite a good holiday location

Posted Jun 27, 2015
Pros: Staff, level of comfort , quality of food (breakfast and lunch)
Cons: Open the pool side bar.
Location: If you like crowds and don't want a sand beach Sorrento is the town for you! Plenty to go and see out of town by boat, bus or train.
Pretty much all the details of the hotel and location on the Expedia site are correct. The hotel is in great shape, the staff are excellent and the levels of comfort are at the upper end of the scale - based on the cost of staying there. Here is what is not so good. It is true that the hotel is .75KM away from the teaming and noisy town centre but it is on a small road that is always very busy with tourist buses and (like all of Sorrento) high numbers of loud scooters and motor bikes. Sitting on the small bedroom balcony is no joy thanks to the never ceasing noise & traffic fumes. The roof top pool is tiny - it is a plunge pool really you can't swim in it. The larger pool is a good size but is squeezed into a space between the side of the hotel & 3 buildings. OK if you don't look up! The pool side bar was not open while we were there and so we had a long walk to the bar to get refreshment. The description of the nearby beach is not quite accurate. You walk 5/10 minutes to a sister hotel. Go through the hotel, down a large lift and end up on a big area of decking....not a grain of sand in sight.
