Lovely hotel, great location, friendly staffPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: The rooftop restaurant and pool, the garden, the friendly staff and, we were reliably informed, the best cappucinos in the world!
Cons: I would have liked a kettle and tea-making things in the room.
Location: The hotel is really central so everything in Sorrento is handy. You can catch trains to Pompeii/Naples/Herculaneum and buses to Positano and beyond.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It just wasn't long enough!

Beautiful hotel, central locationPosted May 13, 2015
Fabulous stay, lovely staff and hotel was very clean. Had underground car park and the hotel was off main square so was nice and quiet but only 2 minute walk to everywhere we needed to go. Great value for money and would recommend this to everyone who wants to go to Sorrento. Thank you for making our stay so special x

Grand Hotel La Favorita-SorrentoPosted May 7, 2015
Fabulous hotel! Beautifully maintained and very comfortable and clean. Staff are very friendly and attentive. The breakfast choice is fab and so much to choose from. Evening dinner is lovely too and we felt quite special as there were only a few couples having dinner each night so we almost had a waiter each to for own use! Will definitely be returning there in the very near future. Sorrento itself is gorgeous and especially the island of Capri, so worth a visit.

Pros: Our room had a private terrace connected. The rooftop pool and bar were amazing with an amazing view. Daily breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Comfort of bed. Mattress a little hard. Better comforter.
Location: Hotel is just seconds from a sea and Mount Vesuvius overlook. Perfect location for walking about Sorrento.
Stayed here for our honeymoon. Would stay here again. Beautiful hotel!

Great location and excellent servicePosted May 5, 2015
Cons: Cannot think of anything that would have improved our stay there.
Location: Perfect location for exploration of the stunning Amalfi coast.
This is a lovely hotel in a great location. The thing that struck us was the pride the staff took in the hotel and the service they provided. For example; on our day of check out we had to leave before breakfast was available in the dining room but on leaving at 5.30 a.m., we were presented with a delightful packed breakfast to enjoy on our travels. That is just one of the many acts of kindness from the wonderful staff at this hotel.

A beautiful, tranquil hotel. Can recommend.Posted May 4, 2015
Pros: Attention to detail, uniqueness, pool area, Bella Vista restaurant, breakfast and absolutely everything except the bar "entertainment."
Cons: Entertainment in the American Bar (see above).
Location: Very convenient for shops and piazzas of Sorrento. A 15 minute walk to the station for trains and buses. Good location for the marina in general.
We (a couple) thoroughly enjoyed our 7 night stay at this hotel. It's different to your usual "run-of-the-mill" establishments with rooms decorated in the local style. It's scrupulously clean, efficient and convenient. You will not regret staying here. There is one major and several minor improvements that could be made (all these were reported to the hotel via comments card inc. my contact details). The American Bar - one of the nicest bar areas in any hotel we've visited, HOWEVER, we only visited it once. Reason being the live entertainment. It's a serene, calm, tranquil bar completely spoiled by extremely loud, intrusive live music. We visited when a saxophonist was playing. A saxophone is extremely LOUD anywhere, in the confines of a bar it prevents any conversation. The next night (we didn't stay) someone on an electronic keyboard. This type of "entertainment" is not in keeping with the standard of this hotel, it degrades it and it was very disappointing not to be able to return to your hotel for a nightcap due to this intrusion.

What a fantastic hotel!Posted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: The politeness and friendliness of the staff and the general upkeep/service provided. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Its position and the views
Cons: 'In room' tea/coffee making facilities, for those of us who like tea first thing The availability of daily, multi-national newspapers in Reception
Location: We found the hotel to be in an ideal spot ie close to the port (for visits to Capri/Positano/Amalfi) as well as an abundance of restaurants nearby
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left (after our 6 day stay), we could not really fault this hotel. The staff were exceptional and always happy to go that extra mile to accommodate, the food was great (with an array of breakfast options) and the hotel was clean, tidy and extremely well presented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely revisit Sorrento and the Grand Hotel La Favorita in the future. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome and for helping us enjoy our stay. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
