“Good Value.”

Probably because it was a weekend I got a very good rate. The rate suggested that it was low because of the (lack of) view -- the view was certainly OK. I liked the bar, even though the poor thing was empty. I stayed away from the restaurant because it looked like it was full of pre-paid tourist bus folks, not a good sign for a good meal. Instead, I took the hotel bus to Sorrento. I am not clear why this bus seems to offend other respondents, it seemed fine to me. The air-conditioning in my room did not work. But hey, it's Italy. And the room was really very nice. Perhaps a little more sound insulation would be good? But really, this is not a noisy place!

“Excellent”

Service and food wonderful. Only downside is that if you don't have a car, you have to depend on their bus schedule to get to town.

“Wonderful View”

The Grand Hotel Le Pace was very new but decorated in ornate 19th century style. The room was large and comfortable with a great view of Vesuvius and the Bay through the smog. The pool also overlooked the Bay as well. We ate dinner every evening in the dining room - a prix fixe four course meal with sufficient variety to meet our vegetarian needs. Service was very professional and elegant.

“Fabulous Old World Stylings, We Loved It!”

This hotel was incredible. Opulent in every possible way. The room that we stayed in had a beutiful view of Mt. Vesuvius. The staff was very helpful as well. The road to the hotel is steep, narrow, and winding, but takes you through some really authentic Italian neighborhoods!

“Room & Bath were large and comfortable”

We stayed 3 nights at Hotel La Pace in October. The room and bath were very large and comfortable. The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was very good (omelettes made to order) but the restaurant's other meals were below average (eat in town - the food is much better). The staff was nice but they did not have a concierge service and the staff really didn't help with directons or restaurant recommendations. We observed alot of large tours coming through this hotel and the staff seemed to promote the hotel's package tours and restaurant

“Beautiful spacious hotel set close enough to walk to Sorrento.”

The hotel is on a hill 1/2 mile from the train. Take a taxi up. (15 Euro) We had a upgraded room with a balcony direcly overlooking the pool and the ocean about a mile away. It was great for a late evening snack. They gave us a bowel of fruit and champagne at check in. The hotel was close enough to be quiet and peaceful but the free shuttle bus did not run as often as our schedule needed. We walked to Sorrento many times. It took about 1/2 an hour. For us it was good exercise and we saw more of the city. The room is big with a yellow tile floor that is a piece of art. The bathroom was also big and had the yellow tile. Very clean. Highly Recommend

“Excellent but a little out of town.”

Very good hotel but a little out of town. This is great if you have a car as parking in Sorrento is a nightmare so we parked the car and didn't touch it for the week just using their shuttle service into town. Taxi was about 15-20 Euro and you can walk in about 30 mins. The other advantage of being out of town is that it was very quiet so no distrurbed sleep. Room was spotlessly clean, complimentary champagne, fruit bowl etc. One thing to be aware of is that they do not have any clothes irons available, not even an ironing room. This might be a local thing and the same in all Sorrento hotels. If you are using Sat Nav to find the hotel you have to input Sant Agnello as the town.
