Great location and accomodation

Posted Aug 3, 2015
We stayed the Antiche Mura for 3 nights at the end of July. We were pleased with the location of the hotel - it is right by the Piazza Tasso and is just minutes walking distance to the square, shops and train station. The hotel is lovely and the rooms were VERY clean and comfortable and decorated in southern Italian appointments. Their breakfast was the best we had seen after travelling through Italy and staying at several hotels that include breakfast. The nicest part of the hotel was their pool area. It was incredibly hot while we were in Sorrento and it was so nice to be able to enjoy the pool during the heat of the day. We love the beach but didn't love it in Sorrento (long walk and VERY crowded). The pool with its many citrus trees was a true oasis. I even ate the most delicious orange that fell onto my chair from the tree above. The front desk boys were just fantastic. They made recommendations for dinners, shopping, directions to the market that were invaluable. We enjoyed our stay with Antiche Mura.

Hotel in the middle of Sorrento

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Location: How about, Capri, Positano, Almalf, Ravello and Napoli all reachable by boat. Or visits to Pompei and Ercularno. Or sorrento itself.
We haven't stayed here for 8 years yet some of the staff remembered us an welcomed us back. The rooms are well kept up, extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast is superb and the luncheon beside the pool was excellent, with the food reaching the sort of quality you come to expect on the Sorrentine peninsula, excellent. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Free direct line WIFI - was really useful. Lots of shops, restaurants and Gelaterias near by!
Cons: Larger balcony. Pity that the English TV stations are limited to business and news channels. No film, sport or kids TV in English.
Location: Very central, but it is a bit of walk down many steps to either Marina. Lots of excursions but be aware there is usually an entrance fee on top.
Situated only 1 minute from the main square and 5 minutes from the station, this is an ideal location for a holiday in Sorrento. The pool was clean and inviting with an outdoor bar area where you can buy food, freshly made from the hotel kitchen. There was ample shade around in the lemon and orange tree lined garden that surrounded the pool. Our room (202) was very spacious, cleaned daily with towels changed twice a day. Breakfast provided a broad choice and was free to its guests. The staff especially Mario were always on hand and cheerful to help with your every need. The hotel were flexible in our checkout by allowing us to extend the room for our departure later in the day.

Wonderful staff, location, and facilities.

Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Wonderfully Italian !
Location: Perfect location to visit Sorrento's main square, shops, and vendors. Great location for day trips to multiple locations.
The entire complex is beautiful, while dotted with lemon and orange trees around the pool and bar area. A lovely place to relax and enjoy Sorrento and the surrounding areas. Staff is very friendly and attentive to any needs or desires. Most recommended.

Lovely hotel in heart of Sorrento

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room. Free sparkling wine on arrival and private terrace off our room. Breakfast was good.
Cons: A little bit of noise transfers from surrounding rooms but nothing problematic.
Location: Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mt. Vesuvius easy to get to by train. Capri by ferry, again easy to do but not as interesting unless you like designer shops.
Hotel was central to Sorrento and it was an easy walk to the station for trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Also easy to walk down to the port for a trip to Capri. You need to be reasonably fit for the walk back up! Very easy if you don't speak any Italian as most local people speak English. Our attempts at speaking Italian were well received even when we made mistakes.

En natt i Sortento

Mycket bra hotell mitt i Sorrento. Lätt att hitta om man kommer med bil. Fin service från en engagerad personal. Extra plus att de har ett eget garage med en moderat prissättning
