Great location. Very kind staff. We felt a little uncomfortable with extra pillows and blankets - in bags but not sealed to ensure freshness. Overall outdated and mattresses and pillows need replaced. We had 4 rooms and it was the same in all.

Great location, friendly people, laundrimat close by. The rooms facing street were noisy but the staff moved us to a quieter room in the back on request

The hotel was great and most of the staff, but the front desk person was unfriendly and he did not make us feel welcome at all. Always a frown and a short answer. Made you feel like you were bothering him every time you asked for or about something.

Room had hair on floor behind front door upon arrival. Bed had a plastic matress protector..who does that. Hot and uncomfortable. Linens were tired. Breakfast room was about show. Some tables set up with linen napkins and full cutlery but waiter from Faulty Towers ushered you to a table with minimum setup, easier for him I guess. Fruit cocktail out of a can! Who does that? Over priced but near a laundramat.

Nice hotel close to centre with pool
I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ascot! The staff are friendly & helpful, especially at breakfast. The are a lot of food options at breakfast & the coffee is super delicious - probably the best hotel coffee I’ve ever had! The room was clean & a good size; the bed was comfy & the shower had good water pressure. It was nice to have a balcony that overlooked the street. The pool & area around it for sunbaking was fantastic! Lots of sun beds & pool towels are available from reception. The pool water was cool & you thankfully don’t stink of chlorine when you get out. The hotel is well located, you’re in the Sorrento town centre within minutes; the beaches & Marina Grande are also a short walk away. I'd love to stay here again & I'd highly recommend it to family & friends.

We wait for your answering
We got booking this terrible hotel from your Expedia, you told us this is 4 stars hotel but it is our family and friend had a horrible travel experience. We are waiting answer from you. Why do you state this hotel 4 stars in your web site? Hope nobody will have terrible hotel like this one

OK but noisy
This was a nice hotel, but as independent travellers we were in an annexe and found the soundproofing of the room totally inadequate. Shame, maybe better in the main hotel body. Wouldn't come back.

Central hotel
The Ascot is a well situated hotel in the centre of Sorrento. Close to the main square it affords the opportunity to stroll to the main square and enjoy the atmosphere it creates.it is also opposite the hotel Rivage which has a lovely snack bar/restaurant where you can watch the lovely sunsets of Sorrento. The walk to the old port /beach is also opposite down a flight of steps and then about a 15 minute not so picturesque walk. It is a nice,well situated hotel but lacks any spark or charm. If you want a functional well situated hotel then this is for you.

Okay Hotel
The hotel was fine. It's decor is old fashioned, rooms are okay. The air con was not powerful in our room so we didn't sleep very well (it was 20-25 degrees at night when we were there!). Breakfast is basic but fine. Staff were all so friendly and welcoming which was great. Overall if you are looking for a place to sleep only, then the hotel is okay. I would not book this hotel again if I was returning to Sorrento.

Nice, clean hotel in a good location.
We booked two rooms for our family party and we were put in adjacent rooms which was convenient and pleasant. The rooms were spacious and very clean with tea making facilities (supply your own tea bags) a small fridge and a TV. The ensuite bathrooms were large and well supplied with good towels although they did not have extractor fans or windows so they got quite steamed up and hot. There wasn't a shelf or bathroom cabinet to put our toiletries away so we had to balance them around the sink which was annoying. The showers were very good and the beds were clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was plentiful and varied and the staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't use the pool but the roof terrace was nice and gave a lovely view over the surrounding area. Although the hotel fronts onto the main road, it wasn't too noisy and it is very convenient for the wonderful shops, restaurants, the marina and the Circumvesuviana train station which takes you directly to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Naples. We would be very happy to stay there again.

Excellent Location, Brilliant Staff
We stayed here for 5 nights, and it was a brilliant base to explore Sorrento and all of the surrounding areas. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough to help. The rooms were basic but very comfortable and very very clean, the pool area is quite large and gets the sun right up until 6pm when it closes I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a base in Sorrento!

Hotel in great location. Walking distance to town. Older hotel but staff great, & hotel clean. Breakfast good. Has elevator which was a necessity when travelling with elderly relative with walker.

Good, clean hotel, ideally located close to the centre - Piazzo Tasso 5 to 10 minutes walk staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large and quiet. I would recommend this and stay here again myself

Fantastic staff and great food, bedrooms spotlessly clean. In a great location only a few minutes walk to Piazza Tasso, restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay here again.

Basic but worth it for the pool
Basic hotel in need of a few upgrades. Pool was nice and all staff were pleasant especially breakfast staff which made up for the hard croissants and bad coffee! Wifi worked fine and it was a good location to wander into the centre and also for Hertz car rental. We didn't find it noisy even though it is on the main street.

Hotel Ascot is located on a busy and extremely noisy street very close to a hospital with ambulance traffic that kept me up through the night. In addition the street has noisy two wheeler traffic all night long

Conveniently located - a short walk into city centre. We changed rooms (thankfully) as our room on the first floor on the main street was generous in size but very noisy and we were staying for several nights. The top floor with balcony was lovely (if smaller) and quiet except for young folk running in the corridor. Wooden floors both in corridors and rooms doesn't help the noise situation. The included buffet breakfast was adequate and staff helpful.

Fantastic location in Sorrento. Nice hotel with a nice pool. Friendly staff. Breakfast had a lot of stuff, but it was not very good. It would have been good to have some turkey or salami instead of the meat they had. Overall, a very good experience.

Decent budget price hotel close to the town centre
We have stayed here several times. It is conveniently situated at the west end of town, on the main shopping road, close to bus routes, not too far from the beach, restaurants &c, and only 15-20 minutes from the railway terminus. The bedrooms are roomy and adequately furnished, the staff polite, helpful and conscientious. On the negative side, breakfasts are basic, some of the equipment (showers, TV) shows its age, and the traffic noise is obtrusive if you are a light sleeper. So the 'Ascot' might not be the first choice if you want serious comfort, but is good value for money.

We have just returned from The Ascot Hotel having had a wonderful experience there. The hotel is situated at the top of Corso Italia. From the Train station in Sorrento, it's a 20 minute stroll to the Hotel.From this station,it's easy to visit Pompeii,Herculaneum (for visiting Vesuvius) and indeed all the way to Naples.The Ascot Hotel is Extremely convenient for all the sights of Sorrento on foot with no need for taxis. Super restaurants and wonderful cobbled side streets with every kind of shop etc..all within walking distance. The hotel provides an adequate continental breakfast and has a beautiful Dining Room.It also has a lovely lounge for that well deserved "Night Cap"!! All in all a great place to stay.

Great..if you want an old bed to sleep on!!!
Well....if you want to sleep in a bed that you can feel the box springs below you this is the place.....and the sheets we at least 10 years old....I would not even let my dog sleep on them. I'm a pretty easy to please guy....but this place needs lots of improvement

Nice, clean hotel which is a 10 min walk to main square and 15 min walk to bus/train stations. Good base with shops and plenty of restaurants nearby and easy access to marina grande, although road side rooms can b quite loud with the constant heavy traffic outside.

Spent 4 days in Sorrento with all 3 nights in this perfectly located hotel. The staff is super friendly and service is top of the line. Clean and tidy with In-house parking garage (prebook and daily fee). A less noisy Air-con and a top layer double bed mattress would lift it to top score. But price-value factor is as good as it gets 😀👍 Will definitely recommend this place as Sorrento accommodation and use it again myself whenever we come back 😀 Lise & Arne
