Good for a hotel with a viewPosted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: the view
Cons: bland rooms
Location: good if you like a bit of a walk!
The staff were generally helpful but could have been a little friendlier (don't let this put you off your stay here). The gardens are absolutely stunning and the view at the end of the hotel is fantastic as well. The breakfast buffet has a good range of options and the hotel room is basic but comfortable, I would recommend getting a room with a park view otherwise your balcony will be overlooking the road leading to the hotel. We had a very nice stay at this hotel and I would recommend this. it is in a very convenient location, about a 10-15 minute walk into Sorrento and as you are walking into the main square you will pass a very pretty Italian restaurant which has a good choice of food, friendly waiters and it all tastes great!

Excellent place to stayPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
I attended a meeting held at the hotel, and my wife and I also did some tourist activities in Sorrento and the surrounding areas. The hotel was an excellent home base. The room was large and clean and the hotel was surrounded by a beautiful garden. The breakfasts (served at an adjacent sister hotel) were excellent, and the view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius was stunning. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from central Sorrento where most of the shops and restaurants are, but that was not a problem for us.

Great hotel walking distance to Sorrento Centre.Posted Jul 8, 2013
Pros: Good Breakfast buffet.
This hotel is great since you are allowed to use the amenities of the neighboring 5 star hotel. I would recommend this hotel over the five star. The pool was naturally filled from the sea, which allowed it to be a bit "dirty" for a pool but extremely clean for the sea. It's about a 15-20 minute walk into town.

Lovely hotel with use of 5 star facilitiesPosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was perfect for why we were there. We had a friends wedding which was located down the road from the hotel. So location was great for this. Sorrento Square is a 15 min walk away but this can be nice in the daytime sunshine or the late evening with an ice cream. The taxi cost around €15 during the day and around €25 during the evening. Sorrento square is lovely, lots of shops and resturants some with amazing views. Overall a great stay. Large spacious room 362 with bath and shower, Breakfast with a view and a large swimming pool located in the sister hotel 2 min walk through the gardens.

Nice but not blown away!Posted Jun 15, 2013
Pros: Staff were friendly
Cons: Wifi terrible. Hard bed.
Location: We had a nice view but on very busy road so not relaxing. Clean and comfy.
Nice hotel and nice staff. Location on the side of a busy road but with nice views. It's noisy on the road side of the hotel but you have the views. On the other side you would overlook the nice gardens. Glad I stayed at the 4 star la residenza rather than the 5star hotel as don't see that they can justify the extra star. Breakfast was nice but the service is worrying at a 5 star. Pool nice if not too many people there and at 20 euros per person to use the beach it was worth staying put.

Great for Sorrento and the surrounding areaPosted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: Wonderful location
Cons: Noisy wedding party guests
Location: Great location, convenient for Sorrento Centre via a shuttle bus (extra)
We went for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed apart from some late night disturbance from a rowdy wedding party. We had booked a Park View Room, but thanks to the Wedding Party we were denied such a room as they were fully booked. At least we did not overlook the road directly. The hotel is otherwise superb, in a nice park with food being provided at a 5* hotel that shares the park. The food was good with excellent table wines and fantastic friendly service.

Great hotel for active people.Posted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: Great views / breakfasts / staff
Location: Edge of Sorrento
This hotel has very helpful and friendly staff. Shared access to 5* hotel for breakfast evening meals and bar. Breakfasts were all you could ask for - lots of choice and excellent quality. 20 minute walk into Sorrento - we enjoyed walk / not for elderly of disabled though. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and liked the hotel and it's staff. Beautiful gardens - if I go to Sorrento again, I will stay here again.

Paradise locationPosted Jun 2, 2013
Pros: Location in botanical garden.
Cons: Noisy hotel guests (corridors bit echoey)
Location: Perfect for views of the coast, sorrento and restaurants.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay in La Residenzia. It was in a wonderful location, in the middle of a beautiful botanical garden with bird song throughout the day, and 15 mins from the centre of Sorrento. Eating breakfast overlooking the beautiful coastline was really lovely. The breakfast spread was exceptional and very tasty and the staff extremely pleasant.
