Nice, quiet neighborhood - good overall value.Posted Oct 18, 2012 on Hotels.com
Clean rooms. Nicely appointed restaurant and bar areas. Nice pool area. Beautiful views from room balcony. Included breakfast was adequate. Only problem was inability to pick up the free WiFi in our room - used the free WiFi in lobby instead.

Lovely hotelPosted Aug 12, 2012
Lovely hotel in a nice location. Great staff and food. Within walking distance of Sorrento (approx 20 mins). Extra sunbeds on the Terrace would be a good addition. Overall a great stay and holiday.

This one to add to my list of enjoyable holidaysPosted Aug 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
Visited early July 2012 & arranged trf with hotel this was on time and very comfortable. I paid for 1 sea view room &1 stndrd rm, when we arrived we were told that stndrd room had been upgraded for free so family could have 2 rooms next to each other. On seeing rm I couldn't see the sea! After complaining we were quickly moved to 4th flr by a helpful and polite giuseppe -a fabulous sea view to the left of balcony, also given a rm at back of hotel facing orange groves - very beautiful indeed. Had a few drinks at the hotel &a few snacks but mainly went out during evenings. Drink cost was quite high in the hotel, service was excellent. It's quite a short walk to the sea from the hotel, by turning left&walking all the way down you come to a lovely little restaurant/bar where waiters are a little moody but the food and view gorgeous. Walk into sorrento centre is straight forward & took only 15 - 20 mins when walking at leisurely pace. Main rd is hectic but adds ambiance. There is a back rd to city which is quieter and safer. When kids were too hot & we couldn't be bothered to walk we just took the local bus. We did excursions ourself as hotel prices were quite high. A great holiday which we did in 8 days. Overall hotel was good we had clean rooms a decent breakfast - although we are vege's so the hot food was limited to toast and tomatoes.Pool clean and we always found a free sunbed. We took hotel trfs to airport ,on time& driver was safe & sociable- nice guycalled salvatorri.

The resteraunt was excellent value and quality for breakfast and supper. Very helpful staff and nice room. The pool was an oasis after a hot day in Pompeii!

Good for the moneyPosted Oct 9, 2011
Great staff, lovely airy and cool rooms, good position near the beach and also close to the main road for buses and the train station, pool was nice .. a good basic hotel for the cheap price we paid. Only negatives would be the food. We didn't eat dinner there but gathered that it wasn't much cop and also the breakfast was adequate but not the greatest choice and the same every single morning. The single biggest problem though was that they had live singing and music almost every other night till 12pm. Probably not a problem for most but with 2 young children we were in bed most nights by 10pm. The hotel were excellent though and most helpful and moved us from the 2nd to teh 4th floor after the first nights. It was a little quieter but you could still hear it quite clearly.

good valuePosted Sep 26, 2011
I chose the Majestic Place for its location, which is not in the centre of Sorrento. We both enjoyed the walk into town but the roads can be dangerous due to the narrow footpaths. The hotel itself is good value for the amount we paid through expedia. Early booking recommended. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The views from our 4th floor room were spectacular overlooking the Bay of Naples. In its heyday the hotel would surely have been rated 5 star. Presently some areas are in need of a little refurb. In all a good choice and we would have no problem stopping there again. Jand J, Leeds, UK.

Majestic Palace, Sant AgnelloPosted Aug 26, 2011 on Hotels.com
Adjoining rooms for our family of four were spacious, very clean and comfortable. We could see the mountains and the ocean from our balconies. Buffet breakfast was very good. Reception staff was excellent. Nice outdoor, unheated pool but it closed at 6:30 p.m. Restaurant was good. One pool towel for the duration of your stay. No exchange for a clean, dry one but they dried quickly on the balcony.

Great location but lot of ants, ants, ants!!!Posted Aug 2, 2011 on Hotels.com
We stayed in this hotel recently for a two night stop in Sorrento. The location is excellent, with trains, restaurants and shops nearby. If taking the train get off at the stop before Sorrento station (Sant Angello), its only a 5 minute walk to the hotel and you will save yourself a taxi fare. The room was lovely and spacious and seems to have been modernised recently. Unfortunately the bathroom hadn’t been modernised – there were a few cracked tiles and ants crawling up and down the walls of the bathroom. Food and drinks were expensive, but we found a lovely restaurant/cafe-bar on the seafront which is only a few minutes from the hotel. The pool was very busy but if you want to get away from the crowds check out the roof top terraces on the 2nd and 5th floors. They both have deckchairs and were deserted.

a good location if you are into traveling in the surrounding. The staff is great. It is a very comfortable hotel - not much more than that.
