Convenient location

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Its close to the station
Cons: Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Something savory like eggs or cheese at breakfast.
Location: On one of the main streets, close to bars, shops, station, cafes, supermarket.
This hotel is near the station which was what prompted me to book it. My room was basic but comfortable and cleaned well each day. The hotel was good for getting round Sorrento or going on day trips or by rail. It was quite noisy at times both from the street (especially at weekends) and from some other guests. There wasnt much choice as for breakfast. It is close to a fantastic vegetarian restaurant though.

Sorrento stay.

Pros: Location.
Cons: Screens on windows. Size of shower.
Location: Bus or ferry to Amalifi coast and Islands. Readily available.
Close to train and bus station. Close to town center. Excellent location. Can be noisy from street and restaurant music can be loud. Overall, hotel is good.

Good, economic hotel, well situated

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Economical and close to transport centres and the town centre
Cons: The breakfast offered was just about adequate but could be better
Location: Close to bus and train transport to other parts of the area and the airport. These include visits to Vesuvius, Naples, Pompei, Capri and the Amalfi co
A good, clean hotel, ideally situated in Sorrento. Close to bus and train stations and only a short stroll from shops and restaurants. The hotel is not luxurious but is more than adequate for a short economical stay offering good facilities in clean spacious rooms. The staff were polite and helpful.

You get what you pay for

Very close to public transport right outside the train station and right on the main road running through sorrento. This was convenient but also noisy and felt a bit hustle and bustle for what I 'do normally want from a holiday. Hotel was clean, room had a private balcony which was great bed was very hard not great for me but OH liked it and only one thin pillow each again OH was fine but I was not. Overall with this hotel you are getting what you pay for a cheap convenient pit stop. If you're staying for any length of time I 'd recommend being more in the old town .

Perfect for an overnight stay.

I booked Hotel Nice due to its central location, value for money and distance from the coach station. It lived up to all those expectations. I would not stay here if i was staying for a weeks holiday in Sorrento as i booked a basic room with no balcony. We stayed at the beginning and end of our holiday for one night a piece. Perfect for what we wanted and close to everything you need in Sorrento. Helpful reception staff, basic but good breakfast.

Kinda gross

Posted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: The location is convenient. It is pretty central.
One of the staff members was pretty awesome but then there was another gentlemen at the desk for the evening shift and he was just very rude and unhelpful. The room is small and has a very nice balcony with brand new furniture. The rest of the room was terrible! We were there 2 nights and they never once came to give us fresh towels or clean the room. The bed sheets were disgusting! Mine were full of lint and someone else's hair. And no I'm not talking 1 hair, I'm talking about many hairs. Luckily I carry around one of those sticky round brushes and it picked up I'd say close to 10 hairs that were not mine as the first thing I do when I get into a hotel room is check for bedbugs so the sheets were still 'fresh'. I had to pass my sticky brush twice over the sheets to pick up all the stuff stuck to the sheets. The shower was annoying because you'd have to stop it every 2 mins because the base of the shower would fill up because it was clogged. And if we didn't stop the shower then we would have flooded the bathroom, I didn't sleep for 2 days because the bed did not exactly seem clean. I've stayed in hostels and this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

Awesome value for the price

We stayed here two nights, from July 28th to July 31st, and we loved it. It had everything a budget traveller needs and then some. The location is 30 steps from the train station which is awesome when you have luggage. Its on the main road in town that leads to the pier where all the trips to Capri and Amalie coast leave from. Also, it's clean, with friendly staff, an elevator, a beautiful roof top terrace, free wifi and functioning AC! We loved it considering we had low expectations of a one star hotel. Its just what you need, no frills, and it's not like you'll be spending that much time in the hotel anyway. Strongly recommended.

Very convenient location

* The location is VERY convenient for public transportation as it is steps away from Circumveneciana and Sita bus stations. Still, nice street and only 4 blocks away from piazza Tasso. * Hotel has elevator and spacious room size. * The bathroom size was fair but the shower was uncomfortable because of size and lack of soap and shampoo holder. * Fair breakfast in the basement cafeteria * Friendly staff and the convenience to leave the luggage after checking out while continuing visiting the charming city and surroundings.

Great as a family base

Posted Jun 11, 2013
Pros: The friendly staff
Cons: The small shower cubicle
Location: Ideal if you are using public transport and want to be near the restaurants and shops.
Hotel Nice is situated a couple of minutes from the train station so is perfect for an overnight stay or as a base to see all of the area. It is also only 5 mins from the centre of Sorrento on a flat straight road. We stayed for 6 nights as a family and we were very happy. Our room was quiet and we all got proper beds not camp beds. The staff are really friendly and helpful and like children. Breakfast is simple but enough to start your day. The roof terrace is a great spot for catching the sun and people watching! If all you want is bed and breakfast this hotel is perfect.
