Close to the centre of Sorrento, every thing near.

Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Our superior double room was spacious, clean with lovely bathroom. Staff only too pleased to help if you Asked. Especially liked waiter on Rooftop bar
Cons: Hairdryer in bathroom very slow but hotel supplied a more powerful one when asked. Staff are very helpful, but you need to let them know you need info
Location: Centrally situated,10 mins walk from harbour (uphill way back but there is a pay lift). restaurants and shops on doorstep.Train/bus only 10 Mins walk
Hotel is perfectly situated to restaurants, shops, train station, buses, harbour only 10 mins walk. Even though in the centre, just off Tasso Teatro, the hotel is situated down a lovely side walk so no cars and very quiet at night. It was a fantastic base and after a day's sightseeing (Amalfi, Pompeii, Capri etc) we would come back to hotel and sunbathe on the roof top terrace with solarium pool. The large bed was comfy. Bathroom very clean with bath/rain shower over bath. Lots of hanging space in wardrobe and plenty of drawers. Plasma TV but could only find Italian channels.. .. Who needs TV when on holiday!! Buffet breakfast choice of cereal, toast, rolls, ham, cheese, savoury pastries, fruit, yogurts, hot sausage, scrambled egg, fruit juice, sweet pastries and cakes, tea, coffees. Restaurants and shops are all close by but hotel not caught up in the hustle and bustle. Staff very friendly but make sure you ask if you have any query otherwise they won't know. Brought ironing board and hairdryer up on request and helpful with info on boat tours, buse timetables to airport etc. hotel pool very small so not ideal for young children wanting to,play. Would say better suited to adults.

The Perfect Location

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: The staff and the rooftop solarium and pool
Cons: It's a central hotel so noise will always be the main issue. We were on the 1st floor and could hear some banging from the restaurant below sometimes
Location: It's central so perfect location. You are literally on top of shops, restaurants and the main marina
We have just come back from a great week in Sorrento. We stayed at the Palazzo Guardati which just happens to be a great little boutique hotel just off the main square right in the heart of the town. The hotel is very well run and the staff couldn't be more helpful especially Antonio who looks after the rooftop solarium and pool and Vittorio who runs the breakfast in the mornings. The rooms are well furnished and all have great chandelier lighting, the bathrooms have big deep baths and fountain head showers. There are restaurants literally just outside the front door either side and plenty more all around. You are 50 yards from the shops and the same distance from the entrance to the ferry harbour (Which is a bit of a monster climb down four flights of stairs right into the gorge below) The main benefit of the hotel has to be the rooftop pool and solarium though. The views are stunning, you get a cold drink, enjoy the sun and have a dip

Excellent Hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Location!
You can't beat the location of the hotel. It's right off Tasso Square in the center of town. Easy access to everything. Short walk from the train station which makes it a good base to cover Pompeii, Capri and the Amalfi Coast. The hotel has a rooftop pool and bar area with superb views.

Italian Break

Posted Jun 10, 2015
Pros: Excellent facilities, friendly staff and central location. Staffed roof terrace provided excellent opportunity for sun-bathing.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Just above the post and near to the rail station giving cheap access to all the sites of interest around the Bay of Naples
We were seeking a central location and a relaxed venue with good facilities. The Palazzo Guardati met all our requirements and more. The hotel is situated within 50 metres of the main square within easy walking distance of the train station and port. The secluded location also muffles the hotel from any street noise.

Fantastic hotel - quiet but close to everything

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: The staff could not have been more helpful. It was quiet considering it's proximity to the main square and within easy walking distance of the station
Cons: The beds were a little hard for our liking!
Location: The hotel was tucked away just off the main square, but wasn't too noisy. It is a fantastic base for travelling around the town and the whole region a
A lovely hotel. Staff were extremely helpful and courteous, with suggestions of where to go and what to see if asked. The hotel was tucked away just off the main square, but wasn't too noisy. It is a fantastic base for travelling around the town and the whole region as it is a short walk from the station for both buses and trains.

Nice hotel close to main square in Sorrento

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Location
Fabulous location, right next to the bustle of the main square without being close enough to hear anything at night. Very small hotel, very quiet in the breakfast room.
