I really loved my stay there , breakfast was great, views amazing,it was off season so did not use the pool but the pool looked great too, rooms gigantic compared to other European hotel standards , overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay was perfect. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The only issue we had were ants on the balcony, but they took care of that immediately. The breakfast that was provided in the morning was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Originally we chose this hotel because it did have a parking option. The parking lot is quite small but we did have no problem getting a space upon our return from exploring each day. We found this hotel to be absolutely charming and beautiful The room was spacious and clean. The bed linens were very nice. Bonus - the huge patio overlooking the water directly off of the room. Stunning views all around. The hotel rate included breakfast daily, which was very nicely presented and abundant. We absolutely loved this place and would return in a heartbest. Sorrento is wonderful and the food is beyond great.

Great property. We stayed 5 nights, and had a very pleasant time. Clean property, with helpful and courteous staff. Very nice restaurant facilities on site. Breakfast was included in the room booking, which was a great bonus for the mornings. We would definitely stay again on a return visit to Sorrento. Thank you to the management and staff, for a very pleasant stay.

Great location near a popular part of Sorrento. Unfortunately we had water leaking from the ceiling in our room from the AC unit and they were unable to fix it one night and could not offer us another room. All of our clothes and things felt damp.

We had an error in our booking (my error) and we arrived a day later than the hotel expected. The staff were very helpful with organizing alternative solutions. The hotel is clean and comfortable with amazing views from the cafe/bar. Shopping and restaurants are very walkable from the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rivage, while my wife and I stayed in Sorrento! Both excellent value and location (can’t say that for many hotels in Sorrento), it is just down the street from one of the main streets in Sorrento, Corso Italia. Also 10 minute walking distance from the Marina and 15 min walk to where the ferries leave for Capri, Naples, Positano etc. We were on the 3rd floor (the highest floor that’s not the lobby) and had a beautiful view of the Bay of Naples and the cliffs to our left. Pool was lovely and not crowded at all in fact the night we used it we were the only ones there. Concierge and staff were great as well, and the included breakfast was nice to have. All in all an excellent stay and I would definitely recommend and stay again!

I loved the location as it was close to many restaurants and shops. Beautiful view from our balcony. Room was big but seemed kind of empty. Fridge was very small. Would have been nice to get water every day. And we did find it a bit loud. But overall it was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well.

We had a really large family room with 2 bathrooms - it was much larger than expected. The breakfast was lovely. The swimming pool was small but perfect to cool off. Downsides were that our room looked on to a wall and had no balcony so it was very dark - not really a pleasant place for us adults to sit once the children were in bed. The storage wasn't very good - there were no draws at all and hardly any hangers so we had to live out of the suitcases for the week which made the room cluttered as we had 4 and so we needed to leave open on the available surfaces: sofa/table/dressing tables etc.

Hotel Rivage is in a perfect location to explore sorrento and you can also easily access the port with a short walk to reach places like Capri, Amalfi and positano. The hotel has easy parking however this is quite expensive. The breakfast selection was very good and staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and was kept clean and tidy.

The hotel is perfectly located to be next to the main area with all the restaurants and stores. The staff was always super nice and they help me with the air conditioning that wasn’t cold enough when we arrived.

Dream trip in Sorrento.
It was extremely good for everything. The hotel is very clean, people are so nice, views and comfort are also very good. But I think it would be nice if we get some options for making tea or coffee in the room (which is so useful after a tiring day), ironing the clothes and if possible some kind of body lotions which we can apply either because of dry skin or after exposing ourselves in the sun (this is more so as we are not allowed to carry with us because of the security restrictions).

Check in and out was easy and the staff were friendly. Easy 5 mins walk from the centre of Sorrento. The room was nice and clean with a good balcony and ammenities. Could do with maybe a kettle and coffee or tea and some pictures up for a more comfortable feel but that doesnt detracked from what is a good room. Breakfast was excellent, great staff service and a choice of a hot breakfast, pastries, drinks, fruit etc. All in a good hotel in a great location.

Really nice stay. Location is at the end of the main road in Sorrento. We walked directly from the bus/train station (given difficult due to the cobblestone, but do-able). If you have too much luggage, or cannot be bothered, it would probably be better to take a taxi initially with your luggage to the property and then walk everywhere from there. The room was comfortable, small but expected. The A/C was not functional at the time but thankfully we went during a good cool season. Breakfast was lovely, nice to start the day. Most importantly the safe was very friendly and helpful. They also stored our bags after checkout while we enjoyed our last day.

Noise was the biggest issue with this hotel. Soundproofing between rooms was non existent and lots of street noise. The room was extremely basic and you practically share the balcony with your neighbour. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent! We left Sorrento 3 days early as it was not our scene at all. The reality of Sorrento is not a sophisticated Italian resort but instead packed with British tourists on cheap airline flights fighting for tables at the British Pub or Irish Bar. Too many tourists meant no seats on any ferries out to Capri or Amalfi Coast and no spots available on buses to Positano and surrounding towns. We were there last week in September. We loved Florence, Bologna, Venice and Rome but Sorrento was a massive disappointment.

Happy with my stay!
I enjoyed my stay. It has a great location (once you get there) right at the tail end of the main pedestrian strip. Breakfast was good, the staff were friendly and helpful. Supermarket across the street. My only minor issue is that the soundproofing between rooms wasn't great. If you have noisy neighbours, you'll hear it all.

Our stay at the Rivage in Sorrento was excellent. The service was great and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We also loved the location. Walking distance from all the action yet tucked away in a quieter part up the road.

Overpriced review for underwhelming facilities.
Hotel entrance was really nice however room was disappointing as the photos showed rooms that were up to date. The room needed painted and was dated. The bathroom needed freshened up as shower Unit was old and a bit grubby. The general feel of the room was dull as no view as such. We did ask to change rooms b it had no availability. Pool was small but clean & excellent view however there weren’t enough beds for the number of guests,some beds extremely uncomfortable to lie on. The decking needed upgrading. They do supply towels for the pool and towels for room changed every day which was good but cleaners missing finer details. Breakfast was fine. Small selection of cold meats/cheese/rolls/cereals etc. Excellent location & would stay again purely because of location but facilities let it down as needs freshened up & modernised. Didn’t feel it was worth the price.
