Beautiful family run hotel. The staff were amazing from check in and throughout our stay. The views from the hotel rooms and restaurant were stunning. You are guaranteed sunset / sunrise views whilst looking out to Capri island. The location is a 12min bus journey from sorrento town centre and the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Its away from the busy town but close enough to get to each day. Highly recommended this hotel.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The view is beautiful and the staff were all amazing and very helpful. There is a bus stop right outside of the hotel that takes you to Sorrento. We did not get to enjoy the restaurant, as it was closed the evening we arrived.

This is a lovely hotel. The restaurant has great food and a rooftop area. Shower is typical size for Italian hotel. They separated the beds for us since we were two women, mother and daughter. We had a small sitting area on a balcony. We had a lovely view of the island of Capri. It is away from everything. It cost 40 euros from the Sorrento train station by taxi. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to take you to Sorrento. It would take a lot of your morning to get to Positano.

Very nice hotel. Dining was terrific. Staff was everything you could ask for. Room was very comfortable. Views were incredible. Be aware if your are staying in the suites. Even though they have an elevator it was designed for the original building with smaller rooms. There are many stairs up and down after exiting the elevator to the better suites. Management assisted in transporting our luggage. If you are a senior citizen be mindful of this as handrails were non existent in some areas.

Beautiful vista overlooking the hills, well-appointed and well maintained. Good parking and easy access to Sorrento or Positano. The number one attraction are the management and staff, they were so helpful and genuine about making you feel comfortable. Lovely people, highly recommended, we entered as guests and left as friends.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration
This hotel was a little out of the way, but that also made it nice and relaxing. There is a bus stop right outside the door and the hotel sells tickets, so we used that to go downtown. It was the biggest room yet and had a nice outdoor patio. The restaurant was great and family-run. Breakfast has lots of delicious options. I could have stayed there longer!

The pool area is beautiful. Overall the hotel decor feels dated feel and wasn’t close or within walking distance to anything (which was OK because we were only there for one night). Breakfast options were really good and our room was pretty with lots of nice little amenities. Room was comfortable with a huge TV. Overall, it was a nice stop on our road trip and was good for some quiet downtime.

Although the furnishings could use a little updating, we found the hotel to be exceptional and the staff extremely helpful. There’s a great pool and bar with a view of Capri that is second to none. It’s a little ways away from the tourist strip which we liked and there is a bus that can take you down the hill that comes every 20-30 minutes. The staff helped us rent a moped which was great for exploring. We picked this hotel because of budget and it far exceeded our expectations.

You want to stay here longer then you think!
We are touring Italy and this place ended up being a little gem! I can't help but think this place is managed by the best. They have built the most beautiful team. From the front desk, cleaning, restaurant and bar they were all the warmest and most welcoming!! I wish we would have been able to stay longer. Shout out to Giovanni! He fancied up our drinks and made the best company, answering all our questions about this beautiful country.

The property was very clean and has one of the greatest views from the balconies and roof top that anyone could ever ask for. The hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful in anyway they could be. The room was comfortable and the bed was extremely good. Having the bus stop at the front door and running every 20 minutes made travel into and out of Sorrento very easy. The only negative would have been traffic noise because the hotel is right on the main coastal road although if enjoying the pool area on the rooftop deck the noise was almost nonexistent. Overall wonderful location!

Wonderful staff! From the time we booked to the time we left the hotel, they were extremely helpful and attentive! Specially Giovanna :) We had breakfast every day at the hotel and the food is very fresh! The hotel/room could use an upgrade, but I guess you pay for the view.

The hotel is located in a calm area with amazing views. It has a rooftop pool just perfect to chill and watch a sunset. The staff are very responsive and there is very good restaurant nearby. Breakfast could be better.

Worst Hotel Stay Ever
NEVER had such a terrible hotel stay. First, the positives: the view is beautiful of Capri, the restaurant was good, and a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Besides that, AWFUL. When we arrived the woman who checked us in was useless. She walked us to our room but told us no details about anything, how to get to town (as it’s 10+ minutes from Sorrento and the road getting to it isn’t walkable), anything about the restaurant, zip. We couldn’t control the AC at night because apparently some guests were cold, so we basically sweat all night because it was on the “calor function,” and when we asked about it the man there said he fixed it for us, but there was no change. The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant, which was good, went up to our room after but it was being cleaned, so we took the stairs down to the lobby to wait, and my mom slipped on the stairs due to wet floors that were being cleaned (SOAKED) but there was no wet floor sign and she hit her head on the bottom step. The maid just stared at her for like 30 secs and didn’t say A THING (no apology) and just tried forcing her up which is a HUGE no. She told the managers that she just “fell on her ass” when she really landed on her butt AND head. I told the staff about what happened and they basically looked at me blank. Only helpful person was Giovanna at the desk who checked on my mom. Offered spa services (really after an injury?) and if we needed a doctor. Checked out next morning. Do not book.

As an Anglo-Italian, this hotel is the perfect mix of that traditional Italian feel with luxury. The staff were absolutely amazing and bring such a personal touch to the hotel that I’ve never really experienced elsewhere. Giovanna was so friendly, kind, and helpful. She made our stay one of a kind. The owners are so welcoming and lovely, and bring that familial touch to their hotel. For example, one of the owners, Francesco, provided us and other visitors with lifts to and from Sorrento due to some of the buses being unavailable. Everything felt at ease at Hotel Bellavista, which is something the owners definitely ensure for their visitors. The housekeepers freshened our rooms beautifully each day. Each time we came back to our hotel room after a day of exploring, our rooms were so fresh and clean. They were also so friendly and made our room feel very special. The restaurant staff provided a lovely breakfast each morning, from eggs, bacon, provolone, zucchini, tomatoes, fruit, salad, yogurt, you name it. Again, the restaurant staff was so friendly and catered to all our food needs. The hotel’s intimate and peaceful spa added that bit of luxury for our trip. We used the heated pool every day and was able to truly relax. The location is perfect. Close to Sorrento by 7-10 minute by car or bus. Massa Lubrense also has so much to offer with such picturesque views of Capri and Ischia, especially when the sun is setting.

This is such a cute little hotel and only about 10 mins with the public bus from city center Sorrento. The breakfast vies were amazing, but to too many options. The being said I loved the breakfast. The staff are very very nice and helpful! Very nice views from the room too. The rooms are very tiny though. We didn’t have a car, but there is parking right by the hotel. We only had this hotel booked for one night, but liked the experience so much that decided to extend it for the second night too. Thank you

I am disappointed, because my LV bag was magically disappeared. I think that it was taken from my room. I told the front desk to ask the mades and check. I even told them when I saw and used it last rime(it was February 18). I noticed that it is not in the room on 19-th evening, when I started to pack. I asked to check it with cameras. They did check it after I insisted, but just the first part, when I was having breakfast( I took that bag that day). I went out of the restaurant for maybe 10 minutes, then I came back to the lobby. They didn’t check that part, telling me that I lost it outside. It can’t be true, because everything that was in the bag I had the other day, including my documents, and credit cards. The only thing missing is my bag (

This hotel was perfect for our 3 night stay in Sorrento on our Italian Honeymoon. It’s just off the beaten path, but the bus comes by often and is inexpensive (the taxis are very expensive). It’s quiet, and the views are wonderful. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We were so “on the go” we forgot to check out the spa, so it’s just an excuse to come back. The restaurant was perfect for breakfast. Dinner was good, but I think you’ll get a better Sorrento experience in town. Beware of Sundays and holidays, as there are less busses! We will definitely be back for an anniversary some day.

Beautiful older hotel. rooms are small. Fantastic breakfast ! Easy to catch boat tours to Capri from hotel. Great views from everywhere. Quieter than main towns on the coast. Sits by itself.
