DISAPPOINTMENTPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: The location.
Cons: The booking process. If someone decides to stay on, the new visitor should not be inconvenienced. The plumbing.
Location: Centrally located. Close to everything. Near Piazza Tasso, large selection of restaurants and shopping area. Near the train/bus station.
This hotel has a great location. The deluxe room was comfortable. The staff were very helpful. They would make dinner reservations, help with directions and maps, and tried their best to solve any problem you called the desk about. The breakfast was very good. One of the best we encountered travelling thru Italy. Fresh fruit, homemade pastries, eggs, breads, unlimited coffee, etc. BUT...when we arrived we found that the room we reserved was occupied - Deluxe Double - we were told that the person in there did not check out. So they placed us in a small room that was no larger than 120 sq. feet. One person had to crawl in and out of the bed from the bottom. Seemed like a "single" room. Since we would be moved the next day, we could not fully unpack and get comfortable. Our stay started with a "suspicious" feeling. We do not know if the room was double booked or the individual actually refused to leave that day. The next day we were moved to the Deluxe room and once we got settled in we had a nice stay. They adjusted our bill when we left to cover the first night's room change. The plumbing needed a little help. Slow drainage. Uncooperative modern faucets. After a "lesson" we were getting hot water and the shower worked! Note for older visitors...you enter at the street level and have to navigate up a steep flight of stairs to the reception desk. The staff did help us down with our luggage when we left, and I am sure they would have when we arrived if asked.

Great hotel, very central. Highly recommendedPosted Sep 5, 2013
Palazzo Abagnale is a fantastic hotel with a small number of boutique rooms in the centre of Sorrento. The bus and train stations are two minutes away which provide easy access to all the sites. There's also a local supermarket between the hotel to stock up on provisions too. Friendly staff and lovely breakfasts contribute to an ideal holiday destination. Strongly recommended.

Great, central locationPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: I liked the decor and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room was a good size with a lovely big bathroom.
Cons: We had some teething problems with the air con and the mattress was incredibly hard. I got used to that but my husband missed his bed at home!
Location: Fantastically central, fabulous food right on the doorstep and many shops selling clothes, sandals made while you wait and anything lemon!
We had a great stay here and would recommend it to anyone wanting a central location in Sorrento. The port is easily accessible with its hydrofoils and ferries to other locations along the Amalfi coast or to th island of Capri. Close by are the many bars and restaurants, with marvellous bruschetta, pizzas and ice cream. Lanes full of little shops crammed full of goodies like limoncello and fabulous lemon soap all made with the lemons of Sorrento. Catch a tram or little train in the main square and tour Sorrento or jump on a train around the corner from Palazzo Abagnale and you can get to Pompeii or Herculaneum.

Ultra convenient for SorrentoPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is located right in the town center of Sorrento. The rooms were very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, willing to answer any questions and provide useful information about associated tours to Pompeii, Capri etc. The complimentary breakfast offered many options and the food was fresh and plentiful.

Amazing location!Posted Jul 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel's location is absolutely amazing, can't be better than that! Also, the service is very good and they are always willing to help. The breakfast is ok but the people are so nice that we decided to end up staying to have breakfast every day. In terms of room, our room was much better than expected! We even had a deck that was great to have a drink and relax and we didn't even know about it!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel - Rooms were very bright and modern - bed ver comfortable also - even tough it was only a minutes walk from the main Pallazzo Tazzo - once you closed your door - You didnt hear anything from the outside - There was a kettle in the room but no cups - didnt understand that one - but I just went to the kitchen and got them - Breakfast in the morning was varied and enjoyable - would definitely return to this hotel again- the blonde receptionist was very friendly and informative - nothing was too much trouble to her

Truly exceptional attitude and service. For example, we had some troubles making train reservations with a credit card from US and they offered to pay it for me one their card. In the end they ended up following through several times and made it work, before we arrived. also, when we arrived from transatlantic flight, we slept in late. When I went to the desk it was past noon, 2.5 hours after the breakfast time had closed yet they immediately offered to serve us breakfast anyway--and their buffet is far beyond a croissant and a coffee-- way above and beyond expectations. The Orange Room was OK for quad, but would have been great for double or triple. Spotlessly clean. Great location a minute to the square and about 4 minutes from train. Valentina could be concierge at any 6* hotel in the world with ease.

Excellent Hotel- Palazzo AbagnalePosted Jan 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
This was a fabulous hotel. It has small rooms but very comfortable. Great price and value- I have paid more at lesser hotels. Palazzo Abagnale is immaculate. Chic. Modern. New. Excellent staff- informative and helpful. They provided great restaurant choices and even had free shuttle services to one which we took advantage of- Donna Sophia. Excellent breakfast. Perfect location. Parking garages nearby- a short walk to the hotel- call them first for which one to use for a discount. I wish I would have stayed more nights here. I will in the future for sure.
