Hotel was central to Sorrento and it was an easy walk to the station for trips to Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. Also easy to walk down to the port for a trip to Capri. You need to be reasonably fit for the walk back up! Very easy if you don't speak any Italian as most local people speak English. Our attempts at speaking Italian were well received even when we made mistakes.

Things I love about this hotel:
-Location! Just a few min walk to Tasso Square. Or, cross the street and walk a block and you're at the train station.
-Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
-Beautiful rooms with gorgeous tiled bathrooms, flat screen TV, our room had a furnished patio w/ unobstructed views of the ocean and Mt. Vesuvius.
-The hotel, as a whole, is a beautiful building.
-The included breakfast is wonderful.
-Beautiful pool, also a lift that takes you right down to the ocean for a swim.
Things I didn't love:
-The fact that I don't live here.

So close to Marina Grande that we ate there every night. The walk up to town was strenuous at times but not too long. The hotel was clean, staff was helpful, but the room was smaller than we expected. From the diagram each room is different and ours was one of the smallest. I'd go back but ask to see the room first.

Beautiful time...would definitely make this a repeat. Many surprises including a free shuttle to/from town and half-board option that included free breakfast and dinner each day. This allowed us to "play out" during the day and then have a memorable plated dinner on premise so that we could end the day on a relaxed note. There is a pool although we didn't take advantage but we did take advantage of the views on both our balcony and the restaurant/bar areas; simply breathtaking!

Lovely friendly staff. Photos of hotel from pool area a little deceptive. We thought hotel was on cliff top but it is not. Despite that, the views are good. A shame the pool bar closes at 6pm as a sundowner with that view would be fab! Room very comfy, we have one on the 4th floor with a side sea view, which is very nice. Breakfast is ok, but the "egg lady" is delightful - so friendly!! No tea/coffee facilities in room.
Only a 5-10 min walk into town so very good location.

The pool, bar area and breakfast buffet were nice, but the rooms a little basic. Not what we would have expected from this star rating. The room was small and cramped, with no space for 2 people to sit and we could hear the conversation from the next room very clearly. It's about a 15 minute walk into town and there is no shuttle bus, it didn't bother us but the walk back up the hill could be a struggle for some people.

This small town is wonderfully located over white steep cliffs and offers a fantastic view over the Bay of Naples. Typical products from Sorrento are produced with these Limoni: Limoncello, a very tasty lemon liqueur, lemon chocolate, colorful ceramic articles with lemon motives, or lemon soap. Or, try more than 70 different ice cream flavors at Gelateria Bougainvillea.
