This was a very disappointing experience. It is true that tourism was affected badly by Covid-19, but the resort should keep the bare minimum of a 5-star hotel. At first, we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that we would stay in a suite. The latter was spacious, clean and had an excellent sea view. We also appreciated how friendly and welcoming the waiters were. There are two shortcomings that made our stay not so agreeable: 1. The passage to the beach was locked, so we could not go for walks. 2. The biggest disappointment was the menu at the restaurant. While I understand why the hotel opted out of serving a buffet, it does not make any sense to serve the same exact menu two nights in a row!! I could not believe it when we were presented with the same menu, which in itself featured a limited variety of choices (some of which were not even available). Better meals could be served in a 3-star hotel. To ease our frustration, our waiter took the initiative and offered us some delicious pastries, which were gifted to him by another customer. In all cases, our stay was overpriced.

I stayed two nights. On day one the shower was blocked and flooded the bathroom. On day two there was no water so couldn't take a shower!

Deserves a 2 stars not 5
All I can say is that this hotel has a great view and location but the quality of the service, rooms, and the management is so poor that makes a 2 stars rating more than this place deserves. The breakfast food was good though and that was the only positive thing about this place along with the beach front view.

I feel cheated and certainly misled by choosing this place presented as 5 stars yet the service and the quality of the place is more like a Motel 6 with bad service. Actually, I take it back a Motel 6 in the US is even much better than this place. I will never go back there.

2 Stars may be but surely not a 5 stars hotel
Extremely disappointed for what we ended up with is a horrible quality and I must say this is the worst 5 stars I have been to. This place does not even deserves a 2 stars rating. So who is doing this rating? they should stay there at least once and experience the place as we did. I am sure they will find that giving this hotel 2 stars is generous.

A complete disappointment and for a hotel that claims 5 stars, this place is not even worth 3 stars at best. The quality is so poor as a result of poor maintenance that makes what could have been a beautiful place and good experience, a horrible one instead. Would not recommend this hotel to any one and it is more like stay at your own risk…I can see why so many are also disappointed and warned us from staying there.

An inflated 5 stars and the one to avoid
This hotel was a complete disappointment for all of us and even changing rooms did not work because the same issues were persistent. Extreme poor quality and to call this hotel a 5 stars hotel is such a joke but certainly a rip off. The location was good and some of the staff was nice but the overall quality is so mediocre at best and it would seem that mediocrity is not just accepted but expected as a normal state of affairs. It is a shame since the place has so many potential but now this hotel is crossed off list and added to the ones to avoid.

The one to avoid
This hotel was just as horrible as the Movenpick was. It was obvious the maintenance of this place is so poor. Our shower was not draining and we Paid for a suite with a sea view but the curtains did not work and after several going back and forth, they moved us to another suite and it has the same problem with the curtains. Needless to say you pay for a view that you do not get and the quality of this place is not worth 3 stars but they are selling it as five stars. Quite a sham and we were all so disappointed. We will never go back there again and highly would not recommend this place to any one.

A horrible stay in Monastir
At this hotel it seems nothing works anymore and the maintenance must be so poor that even trying to get things fixed was not possible. Although, they lie to us and tell us things are fixed when they are not. We were moved to another room and run into the same problem of overflowing water in the bathroom and curtains that do not work hence keeping us from enjoying the sea view that we paid so much extra to have. Overall, an extreme low quality and this hotel should be listed as 3 stars as best and not five. We feel cheated and we will never go back there.

After a long absence, I enjoy the holiday
It was an amazing stay in this Hotel My family was satisfied with the service provided. The food was good and various We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the see Actually, I was afraid about the negative things that I read about this hotel but no one was true.. Most of the stuff are kind and serviable.. I really recommend this hotel for family

They make most money from food and drink.
This is the most beautifully designed hotel in Monastir, Pros: Pool and hotel grounds are beautiful, rooms are flawless. Cons: Staff try to tell you where to sit and don't think you're capable of deciding anything by yourself. Guards with rifles are always on the beach and at the front entrance. (Standard in Tunisia now) Food and drink prices are outrageous. Do yourself a favour and go for an all inclusive hotel.

No hotel name on the wall outside the property so it was nightmare to find when I arrived late in the evening. Internet is advertised as available "Hotel Wide" but it only worked in the lobby. Second day there was no internet access at all so a problem given I was working on this trip. Air conditioning in the room doesn't work. Middle of nowhere so you'll need your own transport or taxi. Expensive food & drink.

Aucun service, 2H d'attente pour commander un verre qui n'est jamais venu- une odeur pestilentielle dans la salle "buffet" que ce soit au petit déj ou au diner. Chambres à peine propre et je ne parle pas de la salle de bains où tout ce qui a du être inox est rouillé...le seul point positif, la chambre avait une jolie vue sur la mer!

Cet hôtel apparemment ancien Radisson ne mérite pas un cinq étoiles. Nous étions en petit-déjeuner et il a été difficile de déjeuner et dîner au restaurant à la carte, on nous présente une carte, nous choisissons et l'on nous dit au moment de passer la commande, que c'est la fin de saison et qu'il y a uniquement des pâtes et des pizzas. Royal Thalassa ne vendez pas à Expedia des séjours avec petit-déjeuner !!! Petit-déjeuner plus que médiocre. Personnel à la réception pas acceuillant. Ménage de la chambre à revoir également. Royal Thalassa, lorsque vous avez des clients en petit-déjeuner uniquement, tout ce qui est consommation (boisson, repas) sont en extra, aussi essayez de prendre soin de ceux-ci. Mais j'ai pu constater que les clients en all inclusive étaient mieux traités !!!!
