Pros: Location (right by the Toll Road entrance, but close to non-chain restaurants in town)
Location: See above.
Stopped for the night on our trip from MN to NY. Family of 4-inlcuding 2 adult children. Worked well for us.

OK room but needs a refresh.

Pros: Good location.
Cons: Train the front desk staff better. Also it would be great if the linens were newer.
The hotel room was clean but things needed a refresh. For example, as soon as we walked in the room we saw two huge stains on the carpet. While the room was clean, the pillows and bedding were quite worn as were the bath towels. The real issue that I had was that the front desk staff was terrible. We were the only people there, we had already paid for the room (via Expedia) and it still took the front desk clerk more than 20 minutes to check us in. She really did not seem to know what she was doing and was also rude.

Hotel was very clean. Quiet surroundings. Conveniently located to shops and restaurants. The room was very well equipped and I was so impressed with the way the kitchenette was clean and stocked. Highly recommended.

Relaxing weekend

Everything was great, including the gym and private office area in Lobby. The room was well stocked with everything we needed for a nice weekend away from our stress of life. The DVD player was a bit awkward to work, but we figured it out, without using remote. Overall, we will be back.

not what we expected

had originally booked this room with 2 beds, for father and adult son visit to notre dame.. spoke personally with a representative from hotels.com who assured me that 2 beds would be guaranteed. when they arrived, there was only a full size bed reserved. the personnel were not friendly, also noted was the picture advertised does not reflect what the hotel looks like.

Thank you for your review. Often third party reservations can not guarantee room type. Contacting the hotel, or visiting the Candlewood wb site gives you better controll of your reservations. High volume nights may ad to the reservation difficulty.

Nice stay after game

Candlewood Suites Elkhart really fit our needs after the Southern Cal - Notre Dame night game. Close enough that I could drive there after midnight. Great location - toward home and near great morning dining. This one is definitely a repeater. Thanks.

A rat trap....

It is sad indeed that after many years of staying at hotels I had to face the fact that personal ítems were taken from me during my stay at this facility......this is totally unacceptable and speaks for the quality of staff that work at this facility. I would not recommend this facility to anyone, ever!! Unless you take all your personal belonging out of the room every time you leave.....sad !!

We agree that it is sad that an item has come up missing. Most hotels have a lost and found locker, and are, infact bound by brand standard to bag and tag all recovered items for a specific length of time. I myself, have donated tons of items that have long expired the "must keep" date. We would be more than to happy to conduct a search if you would let us know what the missing item is. If found, we will gladly follow your instruction for expedient return.
