We had a lovely stay, great location, beautiful place. The only Complaint was our Wifi didn't work downstairs, the owner kindly let us sit upstairsas we were the only people staying there.

bathroom was across lobby. No one actually stays there - they let you in and you're on your own.

Superb all-round hotel

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon to discover that, as we were the only guests, our room had been upgraded. It was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our holiday. Huge bed, friendly service, excellent location and a fine breakfast next morning. I cannot recommend the hotel highly enough and will not hesitate to use it again the next time we visit Krumlov.

Monastery Garden-modern comfort, midieval feeling

Posted Jan 7, 2012 on Hotels.com
Located in the heart of Old Town, the Monastery Garden was a wonderful place to stay. The room was quaint, clean and felt like being in a medieval monastery. Nice owner and a wonderful breakfast in a basket placed outside our beautiful latch key door. Would love to return!

Monastery gardens

We arrived late afternoon in the rain and found we were the sole occupants of this lovely old place. Our breakfast was delivered to us in the morning and is was very cosy. Very clean and it was nice to have a separate bathroom. We were upgraded to an apartment so we had plenty of space. It was a bit strange being there by ourselves and my partner waas a bit lost without a TV to watch but there was a radio. the owner just told us to leave the key inside and simply shut the door when we left. If you like the unsual then this b & b would be perfect. We felt like we had our own house for a couple of days.

Monastery Garden

This hotel was perfect for what we wanted - something that was in a good location of Cesky Krumlov for us to explore and something comfortable. It is a small hotel so doesn't have staff on site 24/7 but contact can be made to the staff so it all worked well. This hotel was clean, had good character and was in a good location. Parking is a few minutes walk and is charged as all parking is nearby to the Old Town. Bathroom was not ensuite for our room and we had to walk across the foyer to get to our bathroom but a small hotel so this wasn't an issue. We would recommend this hotel as a good 3 star hotel.

Fantastic start, but poor execution, wouldn't return

This is a lovely place in a fantastic location just off the main pedestrian street directly down from the Castle. The room is furnished well. Windows are smalll, so it feels a little stuffy. It could be fantastic, but (and unfortunately the buts are a killer): 1) I've never encountered ruder staff. There are only a couple rooms at this location so you have to phone (if you don't have a phone, instructions tell you to go to the pizzeria next door), after calling we were told that she'd be there in a minute, well 20 minutes later, an extremely rude person arrives 2) it's claimed to have a private bath, but it's down the hall, and the bath is creepy 3) there is a thick binder about the town, but no info about the place, including no password for the wireless, I called and the person on duty didn't know it! I suggested they put up a sign with it, a laminated thing with the password came on the breakfast tray. My sense is that someone started this with enthusiasm and just doesn't want to do it anymore. So, bottom line, is that I won't go anymore either.
