Should have gone to Smart Suites next door!

Posted Dec 17, 2014
First of all, we checked in late (1:00am) and felt like we were disturbing the desk clerk who was watching TV in the lobby. He saw me struggling with my luggage, couldn't find a luggage cart then saw one 50 feet away in a hallway, after. The clerk could have pointed this out. Completely useless! Second, thought we had a kitchen, only had a microwave and bar fridge. The room was pretty clean and comfortable but the bathroom had peeling wallpaper and mildew in spots. Next time I'll book the Smart Suites next door.

Good "home away from home" in South Burlington VT

Posted Dec 8, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, good bedding, attention to comfort
Cons: Breakfast was "meh" (sausage/eggs lukewarm on Saturday 12/6) and the dining room too small for people using it. Put an ottoman in living area!
This is the fourth time I've stayed here. It's the first time I've stayed in the west wing. On arrival the clerk explained that there would be a function in the west wing on the second night of my stay, and although the east wing was already filled she wanted to place me as far as possible from the activity. This was a thoughtful gesture. Unfortunately, the first room she tried was a bit "maintenance-challenged" -- broken lamp, closet doors off their hinges, and so on. She promptly and courteously switched rooms for me, and the second room was okay. It does appear that the east wing was renovated earlier. Although it has all the same furnishings, there were a number of small issues with the room that I attribute to age: the toilet was a little reluctant to flush, the USB ports on the desk appeared to be trickling current. Nothing was unacceptable; the room layout is large, and most of the furnishings are comfortable. The coffee table in each room really should be replaced with an ottoman, because there is no place to put one's feet up except in bed. That would be fine in a standard hotel room, but the point of a suite is to allow some living and working space outside of the sleeping area. Overall, I recommend this as a comfortable, clean, easy place to stay when visiting the Burlington area.

Bien situé

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: bien situé, propre, personnel très gentil
Cons: Fromage a rajouter,au dejeuner , à part çela, j'étais tres satisfaite du dejeuner, car il y avait des œufs chaud.
Location: Resto,shopping,aeroport

Very comfortable

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Pros: Spacious room, kitchenette, quiet appliances, very comfortable bed, easy access.
Cons: Parking! Room furnishings are sparse.
Location: Hillside view of Lake Champlain and Adirondacks. Downtown Burlington 15 minutes away, Shelburne about 5.
This suites hotel is part of a complex that includes another (related) hotel and a restaurant. This was the third time I have stayed here. Each time I have spent several minutes circling the parking lot because the hotel is also a popular event venue and does not have enough parking capacity. It is also a popular overnight stop for truckers, so the outside fire lanes of the lot are occupied with tractor trailer rigs. Apart from that, checkin is courteous and quick, with easy access to rooms. Because of the topography, the third floor in the east wing is also a ground floor, so don't fear an upper floor room. The suite is on an "open plan," which means the large king bed is still open to the rest of the room. This might be an issue for business folks who need to conduct meetings in their room, but for other purposes it just opens up the atmosphere -- I never feel like I'm boxed up in one of these rooms. Bathroom has two entrance doors, and though it's a little small, there is a separate dressing area with mirror and sink. The furnishings consist of dining table/work table with lighting and USB charging ports, convertible sofa, and coffee table. Sitting in this area would be much more comfortable with an Ottoman. Overall, this is a good "base of operations" if you have stuff to do in the Burlington area. It's not necessarily a good "hangout," but you'll get a good night's sleep and a great view of Shelburne Bay in the morning.

Great hotel, good location.

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: Offering free cookies at the front desk.
Location: Close to all shopping locations and attractions.
Our stay was mainly for shopping purposes and the hotel was located within 15 minutes or less from our shopping destinations (ex. Church Street Market Place, Essex Outlets, Maple Tree Place, University Mall). Our room was very spacious, clean, and the breakfast was great!

Very spacious accommodations

Posted Nov 1, 2014
Pros: Value for the dollar.
Clean, quite and roomy suite. Only minus was room too warm and only way to cool down was to open a window (ground floor) as central A/C was turned off for the season. Great variety of free breakfast choices. Great for visit with our granddaughter attending UVM. Handy to the school and Burlington attractions, shopping and restaurants.
