Close to campus

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: I like its proximity to UVM
Cons: Free breakfast bar
Location: It is close to all Burlington colleges and universities
I prefer staying here over the Sheraton. It just slightly further away from campus.

The room was incredibly noisy, heard the couple next door having sex all night plus the other couple watching TV and the family down the hall yelling at their kids. The shower head wasn't tall enough, the blow dryer died on fast speed and the bathroom was from 1980.

Convenient to University of Vermont

Posted Aug 23, 2014
Pros: The pool is a real plus.d
Cons: Looks a little bit 'dated.' Feel the price was a bit high for an average hotel.
Location: Burlington is a great little city, and nothing is really too far from anything else.
This hotel will meet all of your needs and additionally has a delightful pool and cozy restaurant.

Meh...

Posted Aug 22, 2014
This hotel was a bit on the disappointing side. I know it's a Holiday Inn, so expectations were not too high, but there were some issues. The staff seemed friendly. The room wasn't terribly clean when I entered... lots of hair left in the bathroom and even on the bed sheets. It wasn't terribly comfortable either - luckily, this was Vermont, but the A/C was very weak and the room stayed pretty warm. Finally, I'm not sure what was going on with the shower, but the fixture was protruding through a crude hole in the wall and the shower head wouldn't stay pointed where I wanted it to. Water pressure was about like dumping a tiny watering can on your head. That made for an unpleasant shower each time. Yes, I could have asked to switch rooms. I don't spend a lot of time in the hotel, though, and going through that effort didn't seem worth it. Also, the elevator broke (or was down for maintenance) at some point for a period of many hours, if you care about that sort of thing. I like the stairs but I understand its no fun to haul your heavy luggage up 3-4 flights of steps. I'll stick to the Hampton Inn, next time.

They have both indoor heated and outdoor pool.

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Not too far from downtown Burlington
Cons: Pool could be warmer in the evening.
Location: Nice college town with shops restaurants, Ben and Jerry,s ice cream factory about 30 mins away.
A nice hotel, breakfast was good. Have to take a taxi to downtown since otherwise you would be walking on heavily trafficked road way at a 45 min walk. The taxi was about 10 dollars one way

Rude staff and old facility

We were met with rude service when checking in. The bathroom in the rooms were disgusting. The paint was peeling and there was mold in the bathroom

Pros: nice amenities, free parking, restaurant on site
Cons: Rooms are dated, bathrooms need vent fans, restaurant a bit pricey but I get that you're paying for convenience
Location: Not easily walkable to downtown, but convenient drive
One night stay while in town for a show.Just needed a bed in a decently clean room close to downtown. This did the trick.
