First of all, why would the pool bars turn the music off and close shop at the prime time of the day, 3pm? The only place that played music was the bar outside of Neptune’s! If it hadn’t been for the two bar tenders there, Ismail and “Thunder Tongue”, my review would have been much worse. Those two should be running the show! Friendly, funny, engaging. Give those two a raise!! The property was beautiful, but the beach was awful! Understand that you can’t clean up what’s in the water, but you can clean up the beach. There were rakes leaned up against the trees, someone should actually try using one. So disappointing. For the amount of $ spent to stay here, and being a Sandals resort, experience was underwhelming. It’s worth it to consider allowing your staff to accept tips. You’ll quickly find they’ll be happier and willing to stick around past 3pm to allow guests a fun time in the sun rather than almost encouraging everyone to go take a nap! This resort is not for younger crowds, 30-50, looking to enjoy a full day at the pool with music or lounging on a beautiful beach. Save yourself some time, money and disappointment..pick another resort!

The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and the food was amazing! The only problem I had was that the service at some of the restaurants were extremely slow. Plus, the air conditioner in our room continued to leak despite several people trying to fix it.

Amazing Couples Vacation
Our trip was winter getaway and was amazing! The resort is gorgeous and the staff very helpful and courteous. The resort is amazingly manicured and clean. The restaurant options are fabulous. The beach was beautiful and well maintained daily. I can't say enough good things about Sandals South Coast. We'll be going back!

Upon arrival I was told my room was overbooked and I will spend the night at a temporary room, so later on the next day to move to a second room. Making this very inconvenient for my wife and I. Instead of us concentrating on our vacation now we have to worry about we can’t even unpack, at what time they going to move us? ect. The room we finally got room 1114 had a sewage smell and the A/C wasn’t really good making noise and not cooling enough. By the time we finally got settled and went to try to make a reservation for the specialty restaurant everything was booked making us also miss this part of the vacation. Also the beach sucks full of seaweed and the sand is like mud making it nasty to even step in water. In conclusion I won’t recommend doing business with Sandals south coast. Terrible experience, I wasted my time and money. Not good!

Upon arrival I tried to ask a question and the comment was "In a minute, not now, in a very rude tone". I found that some staff were rude and condescending. When I called for room service I was rudely told that my level of room didn't qualify for room service. This was never mentioned when booking the room or I might have booked a more expensive room as we enjoy room service in the mornings when we travel. There was absolutely no information provided about the resort in our room or anywhere else, other than a small map of the property. Information regarding the different dining options, planned activities or entertainment during our stay would have been very helpful. Our first morning at breakfast we waited well over an hour for our meal. When we booked a tour the person booking it for us would immediately stop what she was doing for us, to answer the phone . She never even said excuse me for a minute or anything just cut off our conversation to answer the phone, this happened multiple times. It took way longer than it should have due to all of these interruptions. Good customer service would have been to finish working with the customer standing in front of you before dealing with the phone. The HVAC only had three settings, cold, colder and freezing. The good was that the food was delicious (if you didn't mind waiting), the majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful,and the resort was exceptionally well maintained

Unfortunately I have to say it did not feel like a 5 Star resort. It was more like 3.5 -4 star all you can eat buffet. Waiting 1 hour to get your food, messing up orders, room service not responding or bringing you not what you ordered. These are just a few of the things that neet to improve before getting to that 5 star feeling. I mean, you pay almost $1000 a day, and they give you a $8 shampaing bottle for your honeymoon... come on....

Was a great trip. Staff and service were awesome. Jamar the entertainer was fun, friendly and personable. We would have given our stay 5 stars if the food had been better. The all inclusive food was good but nothing was really anything to speak of. Everything we had was just ok. And for us this came down to value for money—you pay a lot for the al inclusivity so would want to see the food a bit better.

Anniversary stay
We loved the aesthetic of the resort overall but felt the lack of poolside and beach wait service took away from the experience. The pools could stand to be updated. The food was great at all restaurants but did take a long time to be prepared. The spa service was nice and reasonably priced.

Secluded hotel; peaceful and quiet. Plenty of space in the pool areas and at the beach. Restaurants were great (did not make it to the sushi restaurant). Rooms in the French Village are dated and not particularly well maintained. This was my third visit to Jamaica and I also didn't find the staff to be particularly warm/friendly (at least they did not go out of their way to make you feel welcomed).

Overall experience at Sandals South Coast was pleasant. The beach front and restaurant options were an added plus. However. Staff attitudes and service were questionable at times. Yet, the entertainment staff went above and beyond to create a positive experience. The rooms were ok. They came with a pleasantly stocked refrigerator...... Nice! The biggest downfall to Sandals South Coast was the commute from MOB....... Rough ride. I was taken back by the option to pay for an excursion to another Sandals resort in Negril. I think there should be a better system in place to encourage and incentivalize guests. In closing, this property had a lot of cats, birds, sea gulls and peacocks that, at times, interfered with what might have been a nice meal.

I was skeptical of an all-inclusive vacation, mostly because I was worried it would be like cruise ship food. I was over-the-moon when the promise of Sandals came true. The food is a solid 4 out of 5 stars, all seafood is fresh catch, the flavors and dishes are exceptional. The booze is free-flowing and the bartenders are encouraged to make up fun drinks. You can have the vacation you want. Want to party - head over to the main pool, or one of the several bars with entertainment. The hosts keep things lively. Want to canoodle with your love? Every aspect of the layout is designed to encourage romance, but not in a cheesy way. The seating at every restaurant, for instance, is done so that every table has a beautiful view - whether of the beach, or the lux interiors of the restaurants and bars.
