Poor reception. Front desk not very friendly. Entire hotel needs an overhaul. Poor water pressure, ice machine didn't work, scary elevator. I wouldn't stay there again.

Dear Guest: I am certainly disappointed to hear that your stay with us was not satisfactory and you had so many issues while with us. Hotel near URI

Pros: Clean. Close to the university
Cons: Better pillows and informed front desk
Location: URI is about 5 minutes down the street
The hotel was very close to URI. We stayed here while visiting the university. Nothing much else is around. Hotel does have a restaurant. Beds were not to comfortable, but the room was very clean. Front desk was not very knowledgable about restaurants in the area and not good at giving directions.

Breakfast? Ha! Don't waste your money.

We chose this hotel because the one we had stayed at the night before was booked. This hotel was close to the university which we were visiting. The front lobby was clean. However you can tell this hotel is a bit older as you moved towards the hallways. Long, dark and dingy. The elevator was down a long hallway on the other side of the hotel. Our room was then all the way back down the hall, opposite from the elevators. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small. My only complaint about the room came early in the morning when the sun was streaming in through holes in the curtains. It looked like bugs had eaten a star constellation through several areas of the curtains. And even this wasn't as upsetting as what was to come next. I paid the extra money to have breakfast included since it's usually cheaper and more convenient for my family. What we walked into was something of a joke. I have NEVER experienced a breakfast (or lack thereof) like this in any other hotel I've stayed in. And we travel across the US a lot! There were cheap folding tables with bags of bagels, a cheap (dirty) toaster and butter. On another fold out table there was a pot of coffee with the fixings. And on yet another, jugs of OJ in bowls of water. It was pathetic. I wish I could post pictures because it was pathetic it was funny. I do have pictures! So save yourself the trouble and stay at the Hampton Inn for a better stay with an awesome breakfast!

No frills but excellent value

Cons: Continental breakfast - milk for the coffee!

Clean and straightforward accommodations. Excellent value for the price.

Lousy breakfast

Cons: Breakfast !!!!!
The breakfast was awful. No selection. No place to sit down. Only cereal for kids. Ran out of coffee cups. No fresh muffins or bagels. A real disappointment for the type of motel it claims to be

Great to stay for auditions

Traveled from NJ for the theatre by the sea local auditions. Very nice staff, allowed us to check in late, room/bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

Good location for the Rhode Island Shore Area

Great hotel for business trip

Pros: Mostly everything
Cons: Wish the restaurant was open for breakfast during the off-season. The complimentary breakfast choices were just okay.
Location: Was in Rhode Island for business reasons so did not get to see the local attractions.
The room was big and clean. The king-sized bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but overall very nice. Absolutely loved the restaurant. The menu was very upscale and was surprised to see the filet mignon and wonderful veal choices. The wait staff was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
