Careful they don't charge you for breakfastPosted Sep 3, 2014
The hotel was generally fine. However a few days after staying there I checked my bank account and saw that I had been charged £10.50 directly by the hotel. I hadn't booked breakfast and didn't ask for it to be added yet this is the same cost as the breakfast. This was probably a mistake by the staff on reception, however my requests for it to be refunded have just been ignored.

In desperate need of refurbishmentPosted Aug 6, 2014
Desperately needs renovation. Bed extremelly unconfortable and poor service at the restaurant (1h wait for two burgers, the waiter apologised and our drinks were free).

Lovely short breakPosted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, check in time was flexible (we called ahead that we were running late and it was no problem), room was good value for money
Cons: Extras were a little on the pricey side, we didn't have breakfast there or use the wifi. Things are generally a little in need of a freshen up
Location: It's within easy access of East Croydon station (with regular trains to London Victoria), taxi back late at night was about £17.
We had a lovely stay in this hotel, the staff were really friendly and made the experience what it was. It's within really easy access to East Croydon station and we used the free shuttle service which was great (although designed for business users so be aware it only runs first thing in the morning and early evening). We dined in the restaurant which was lovely. The spa was a little run down but was still relaxing and worth a visit. It is a shame there isn't a separate kids pool though!

Fancy a round of golf & then dip in the pool?Posted Jun 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed here few times in the last few years. Comfy hotel but it is showing it's age. Plenty of parking space. Great helpful staff. Good food & wine at reasonable price. Breakfast is good & plenty. Looking forward to stay again.

A very good place to stayPosted Jun 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Great service especially at breakfast time. Staff very friendly and cheerful. Rooms in good condition. Though not hoovered during my stay. Otherwise a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.

Room G33 was an adjoin room and therefore noisy awareness of others in the next room.

disappointedPosted Jun 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room very outdated. Fingernail on the floor. Hair in the bath which was dirty. Could hear Everything next door were doing. Tried to order room service but there was no answer. Went to reception and was told to go to the bar. Went to the bar and two members of staff were arguing over ice. Explained I tried to call and was told 'well we're very busy as there's a wedding. ' food came and was cold. Only good thing was polite man who checked us out.

GrubbyPosted May 22, 2014
Well........Grubby, down at heel, peeling wallpaper, damp spots, poor lighting, furniture from the 70's and it looks like the same carpet from the period..But not in a good way..Staff pleasant, I would say overworked underpaid and trying to botch things up. Decent breakfast though. Oh and they don't even have a real luggage trolley...
