On the Surface...

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Everything was fine until we got into our room. The carpet was stained in multiple areas. The desk still had ticket card from previous customer over a month ago. for a "nicer" hotel, our room was not up to par. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable! Not bad, but not the quality I expected.

Minutes from downtown

Posted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Quiet for a busy hotel with lots of families.
Cons: A small refrigerator in the rooms would be nice
Location: Allient Center across the road, bike path with bikes to rent, great parks with playground within walking distance Madison has great restaurants
The Sheraton Madison is a great location. The Hotel was full but never overbooked. The staff was warm and friendly and handled the crowd beautifully. There were always available tables in the restaurants and computers and lounge chairs for relaxing in the lobby.

Too many negatives

Posted Mar 6, 2015
Hotel was nice, but the basics of internet, hot shower and quiet were missing. Wifi was so weak that a connection couldn't be established the whole stay. Road noise and hallway noise made sleep difficult after 6am. Shower had alternating very cold and very hot water, regardless of how it was adjusted. Overall not at all what I expected from Sheraton.

Hotel was clean, pool had way too much chlorine, kids broke out in rash from it. Elevators were always congested or had a long wait time. Neighboring rooms were loud and rowdy.

The room was nice, but it had a smell to it. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was kind of pricey and still cold.

It was a great experience--the room was very clean though without a fridge or microwave which would have been nice. The restaurant in the building had fantastic food and service. Staff was friendly and informative: they were also helpful when I needed to use or borrow office supplies.

Worst stay yet

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Better customer service and have the hot tub working!
Location: Great location from belt line and into downtown
The front desk staff, Angela was the rudest person I've met during check in. Thank good this was her last weekend to work for Sheraton (as the manager says). We've stayed at multiple Sheraton hotels and this was the worst experience. Secondly, we had to wait for 45 minutes for our shuttle pickup. And lastly, we forgot our phone charger and called the hotel to inform them of it. The front desk said that the "housekeepers" did not see a phone charger when they cleaned up. Talk about dishonest people with poor people skills.

disappointed in this chain hotel

Posted Feb 24, 2015
Pros: room was clean, instant coffee available was good
Cons: all problems mentioned above and if hot tub was being repaired should inform guests prior to reservations
Location: Near capital and downtown area of Madison, restaurants, museums, sports center, etc. location was convenient
Briefly, we were not allowed to be checked in until 1hr 15 min past advertised check in time of 3:00. Hot tub was unavailable due to repairs, swimming pool water temperature was freezing(even to children who ordinarily never mind that factor) as well as air temp in pool area. when I asked front desk staff to adjust room temp they said a technician would be in and he never arrived. Pillows too soft( minor detail) just added to overall dissatisfaction of this hotel.

Convenient to many of Madison's downtown areas.

I was disappointed that the hot tub was under repair and one of the restaurants was also closed. Having a continental breakfast would be great.
