Location is right next to a VERY busy Market Street. This could be a good or a bad thing, depending on what you want. The hotel is pretty nice, but the rooms are very plain. Nothing special.

Nice hotel but...

Mattress a bit too soft. They only had double beds, no queens. Dirty cup and spoon under the bed Had to request twice supplementary pillows as they did not bring them the first time. Otherwise, it was good.

Cons: Need to update bathrooms
Good location near Union Square. Be sure to fing the open patio inside Dirty Habit.

Nice hotel with wine reception. Very clean and comfortable. Nice TVs with good stations (nice for watching in the morning and drinking coffee). Small room, but not much smaller than other boutique-y hotels. Seemed quiet to me.

Bathroom has a sliding door and it's very heavy.

Good room, not enough bed sheets or covers. There is no room service from what I understand.

Not up to a kimpton standard hotel.

The kimpton product is excellent... but in san francisco this property is lacking the kimpton touch. It was below customer service levels for the brand and below a 4 star hotel due to many factors. One example, I stayed on the fifth floor and both nights I had dining room chairs left in the hallway outside my door... really ... who is the manager of this property... if Kimpton corporate would have witnessed this they would fired the staff immediately. matt las vegas nv date feb 14 the feb 16 2015

Staying at this hotel made some of the bad stuff that happened on our trip worth it! Excellent staff, great hotel.

This was my first time staying at a Kimpton Hotel. My usual hotel chain was booked. I was pleasantly surprised by the Kimpton facilities and hospitality and will stay again.

Noisy room. Lousy fitness centre.

Our room was facing a restaurant patio so we could hear lots of noise from the patrons until around 11PM or midnight. Then, around 6AM the employees start making noise pulling some kind of service carts and we could hear the wheels very loudly. We could also hear the showers running from adjacent rooms. Their fitness room has insufficient cardio equipment, very few dumbells and just one weight machine. The room has no music or TV, although each of the 3 cardio machines has its own screen. The staff was courteous and helpful.
