Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Looks run down on the outside but my room definitely exceeded my expectations. The bed was very comfortable and everything was immaculate. They even gave me snacks upon checking in. I was pretty bummed the hot tub was not in service since that was my main decision for staying there after driving 1000 miles. But whatever I was told tired anyway. I would stay there again hands down

Close to Coos Bay Speedway

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff and we got a call with in the first 15 minutes to see if our room was fine.
We stayed here because it was close to the Coos Bay Speedway. We had to bring our dog and they accommodated us with a pet area, doggie treats, and a nice big room. The room was very clean, staff are very friendly, and the breakfast has a great variety to choose from.

Beware booking through Expedia

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Location: You are right on the main street, lots of cars driving by and no beach access.
When we arrived the first thing we were told was that Expedia likes to put members in an inconvenient room, for us that meant that handicap room that had no tub. This was a problem because we have a two year old who desperately needed a bath. In addition to no tub, there was no shower stall. All that existed was a shower hose on the wall next to the toilet. You could literally rinse yourself off sitting on the toilet. I'm sure this would be great if you were in a wheelchair, but for us this was completely unacceptable. The staff didn't offer a different room and when we came into the room there were at least three flies buzzing around. Our room was also right next to the road so we could hear the cars driving by all night. Finally, this lists the hotel as a Best Western Plus, but it's not actually a Plus.

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. The beds and pillows were soft. Loved that each room had a kitchenette (we had two rooms). Included breakfast was yummy, especially the waffles you make yourself.

Hotel staff at check-in not helpful. Quality of room was ok but run down. Hot breakfast best part of stay.

Passing through.

The room was clean, the breakfast was very good, the staff was excellent. The room was a bit small for 4 people, but it served its purpose for an overnight use.

Girls weekend!

Posted Jun 19, 2015
Pros: Front desk staff and manager
Cons: Clearly stated instructions for getting your room cleaned.
My daughter's and I took my daughter-in-law to the coast for a girl's weekend as a treat. The hotel was clean and most of the staff were very nice. The pool was nicely heated and enjoyable and the breakfast choices were great. A couple of things really bothered me. We stayed two nights. The second day no one cleaned our room. We called downstairs and asked why. They told us we were supposed to put something on the door, which we could never figure out. Both sides of the door hanger said "quiet please". The hotel manager ended up coming up and cleaning the room herself while we left for dinner. She was very nice about it. The other thing that bothered me was when we went to breakfast the next morning. We thought breakfast was over at 10:00 and got there at about 9:25. As we were getting our breakfast this woman came through and started grabbing the food right in front of us to put away. She was very aggressive about it. She didn't even speak to us to see if we had got what we wanted. It turned out that breakfast was over at 9:30 and there wasn't any forgiveness for that time. After saying this, I would stay there again. The management and front desk staff were very nice and helped us out quickly when needed.

Good choice

Posted Jun 14, 2015
Pros: Upgraded rooms, clean, comfortable, free wifi, free hot breakfast, in room coffee The pool, location, friendly staff
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Lots of places to go fishing, clamming, hiking, kayaking. Loved the downtown area- restaurants, antiques.
We stayed two days. I found the hotel welcoming and comfortable enough to be home away from home.

Close to downtown and good clean rooms

Posted Jun 1, 2015
Really liked the clean rooms and how close it is to restaurants. All within walking distance. Even though it's right next to the main road, the noise was very little. Good place to stay for the price.
