We spent 5 days at Aguila, it was amazing. The guest list is small and intimate, the food fresh and delicious and the staff is amazing. Bradd the owner is on site and delightful. There is something for everyone, but relaxing is perfect too!!! Best part of our Costa Rica experience!!

This hotel is a bed and breakfast that is perfect for the adventurer. We stayed in the cabin which had an amazing indoor/outdoor feel as well as a complete outdoor shower that was so beautiful!( no hot water and a few crabs climbed in! It just added to the fun and adventure for us!) walked down to a secluded beach. If you sit outside the cabin you will see tons of beautiful birds and lizards and if your lucky even a monkey! The owner Giovanni and his brother made us a delicious breakfast every morning and helped us pick out activities to do for the day. They were amazing and made us feel as if we were staying with a friend!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone with a sense of adventure and need go get away from the typical hotel experience!

My husband and I stayed at Cabinas Manolo for 3 nights. Drake Bay is a very small community with few facilities and luxuries, but Cabinas Manolo was conveniently located just a short stroll from the town center, where there are a few restaurants and a grocery store available. It was also only about a 10 minute walk down to the nearest beach. A much nicer beach, Playa Cocolito is about a 45 minute walk down a beautiful trail - well worth the visit!
The rooms are simple but very clean. There is no air conditioning, but we were able to sleep comfortably with the fan pointing at our bed even in the hot dry season. The food was alright but not amazing. We had better luck with the other restaurants in town. Ask for a room with a hammock because ours didn't have one. :( Power seems to be a bit unstable at this hotel (with regular surges) so if you have any sensitive electronic equipment, be careful (although this may be characteristic of Drake Bay as a whole).

Great place on a great deserted beach. Scarlet macaws all around hotel and surrounding area. Very nice clean pool with great seating around pool. Very quiet and relaxing stay with good breakfast included. Meals were very good and service was great. Rooms had nice decks and were very clean with cold a/c and lots of hot water. Large sliding windows with screens facing ocean and gardens.

The best hotel on the Osa Peninsula. It's not the Ritz Carlton but compared to all other places in Golfito, Puerto Jimenez, etc. there is no match. Great staff - helpful, friendly, perfect English. The only complaint would be the breakfast. Don't count on it. It's bad. Go to a restaurant in town.
