What a GemPosted Oct 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
Room was great, late 60 feel, but very clean and comfortable. Access to all attractions nearby. Great price. Not crowded at all. Very private.

1950's time machine...bed, chair, tv, 2 lamps, no carpet, all original but repainted.

disappointed!Posted Sep 25, 2012 on Hotels.com
Completely disappointed...room was small and over priced....the only positive was the deck/bar since I needed a stiff drink after I saw my room. Website should mention to arrive before 430. Music could be heard from inside room and there were no curtains so you could see through blinds. Epic fail!!!!

don't stay in 8Posted Sep 21, 2012
Room 8, no closet, no place to set suitcase, no soap, no privacy, blinds would not cover windows, outside lights kept room lit. no top sheet. (european style?) would not stay there again for free. Maybe other rooms are better.

We enjoyed our stay. It's not a place to stay if you plan on going to bed early because the band plays on the deck until midnight. I liked that but it's not for everyone.

Nice hotel I would recomend it.Posted Sep 18, 2012
Pros: The hotel itself
Cons: There was no internet and no employees
Location: Great location
No internet, there are no employees most of the time. The hotel itself is well built and on the beach. There is a beach club with a bar and grill right on it which is good if you are there to party but not if you need to go early to bed. Nice hotel I would recomend it.

On the beach...Posted Sep 13, 2012 on Hotels.com
We love this place, right on the beach. We would definitely stay again, barring rumors of the resort closing....hope it's not true. ;(

Couples onlyPosted Aug 3, 2012
Pros: on the beach
Cons: noise on weekends
Location: at the end of the main road
Weekends extremely noisy as biggest beach bar in Texas is right outside the door, but it quieted down about 7 pm at least on Sunday. Wasn't there Fri. and Sat. Live entertainment at bar at night. Right on beach. Some rooms pretty large as it's an older establishment. Would go back.

Spectacular resort for loversPosted Jul 31, 2012
Pros: Small and intimate.
Cons: Only that the room toilet has problems due to outside plumming.
Location: The location is just perfect for the beach access, bar and food. It is located going towards the end of the island.
This hotel was wonderful for our stay. It was facing the gulf and the sunrise was just breath taking. We had the best time with it being for adults only. the choice was ours. If we wanted to be within the crowd we could and if we wanted to be a little sucluded we could. It was nice having that space to be romantic...One bump was that the plumming was a bit messed up and we had to use the restroom downstairs. So that was not so convient. But other than that, the grouds were well manicured and the pool and the parking was reserved for the guests which made it nice as so many visitors at the bar would take over.

Very relaxing stay...Posted Jul 19, 2012
Pros: No kids, beach access, attached bar & grill, small number of rooms.
Cons: No mini-fridge.
Great place if you're without kids! We loved the direct beach access & the attached Bar & Grill. The staff was great, food/drinks were great & it was very peaceful due to the small number of rooms & 21 and up rule. We will definitely be back!
