Fishing Trip

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great central location on the island.
Cons: They were remodeling while we stayed so that would be the only improvement
Location: Right in the heart of the island so great location to any where you would like to go
All in all it is a comfortable place to stay. It is not a five star hotel but for the price you can not stay anywhere better.

Pros: pool, distance to shopping
Cons: softer beds
Location: swimming, beach, sunsets, kayaking
got this place for 29 bucks with taxes so not a bad a deal. wasn't a bad room either. the beds were a little on the hard side but other than that, it wasnt too bad. close (walking distance) to everything

Close to beach, not close to where I requested roo

The motel was being renovated, very noisy and smelled of construction. 'Breakfast' was the bottom of an old pot of coffee,( the sugar packages had been wet at some point, were hard as rocks. ) and some little powdered donuts in a drawer.

Island Inn, South Padre Island.

Pros: Location
Cons: At least fasten the toilet to the floor!!!
Reception was rude at first, but he mellowed out after a while...toilet bowl not fastened securely to the floor..."free breakfast" consisted of Hostess "Mini Donuts", and not many of them...noisy A/C...

Weak WI-FI if your room was a way from office.

Cons: Wi-Fi and continental breakfast
Was OK but would have been better with good WI-FI and a decent continental breakfast

Dear Guest: Thank you for your business. Recently, we have replaced ALL WIFI access points with latest technology. The speed has been bumped up to more than a double the speed what we used to have. NO MORE SLOW WIFI!!! We invite you to come stay with us again. Take care of yourself.

Island Inn

Posted Dec 1, 2014
The hotel stay was great even tho it was on the off season and there was so much to do without all the spring breakers there. I found it was way cheaper to go directly thru Island Inn instead of on hotels.com because they had great deals at $29.99 instead of $54 with hotels.com

Great location about halfway between beach and din

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Staff is courteous and knowledgeable Room is adequate, but a bit dated Price was good WiFi was good Clerk was helpful with restaurant recommendations, the Pelican restaurant just across the bridge for breakfast was excellent Used beach access 5 so we could drive on beach for reasonable $5 fee Beach was clean, sand nice, water really clear A great destination, the only caution I would mention is that city hall makes all its money on speeding tickets. The speed limit jumps around and is 30 mph for the majority of the time in the city. I used the cruise control the whole trip and had no problems. I saw at least a dozen vehicles stopped in less than a 24 hour period. So use cruise control and enjoy. If you are too uptight to relax at anything less than a 5 star hotel this is not the place for you. They had a clean, clothing optional, pool. Just kidding, it needed a good cleaning. Just kidding the pool was clean men were required to wear spedos ;)
