“Great Place To Stay!”

The hotel was a great value for the price. The rooms are big and spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. Our room was clean and comfortable. The Continental breakfast was okay, but nothing fancy. The staff was very friendly and met all our needs. This hotel is right on the beach. It is located near all the main attractions and many restaurants are close by. Pets are allowed, so expect little furry ones to be barking every now and then. Overall, I would stay here again because it was one of those places that you got more than what you paid for. This is a great hotel to take the family. You can catch "The Wave" (BUS) for free up and down the island. Lots to do on water or on land.

“Great place to stay with beach access.”

This was previously known as the "Best Western La Copa", and this was our second trip. We like to travel in the fall when the kids are back in school, beaches are empty and prices are low. The off season rates at the La Copa are great. It is an older hotel, but kept clean and well maintained. The rooms have wireless access, coffee pots and all the comforts. The La Copa has it's own beach access (which is why we like it), and running down to the beach is easy. They provide a breakfast buffet in the mornings, consisting mostly of waffles (good!), fruits, bagels, etc. I like this place, and we intend on returning next fall!

“Friendly Service”

Beds were extremely comfortable and the staff upgraded my room for free just because one was available. Beautiful beaches, great pool, overall very nice hotel.

“The longest hall in a hotel1”

Had a very nice stay at the BW La Copa. Breakfast OK but very crowded and noisy on weekends. Happy hour amounted to a drink ticket, bar open irregular hours in September. Beach nice and accessible. Room very nice and clean. The doorman was extremely friendly and helpful, not so much the desk staff. Staff worked continuously to keep hallway clean. The hall of the hotel was very long as was the parking lot but they did have a little bit of beachfront that way. I'd stay there again and South Padre was wonderful!

“Very comfortable, right on the ocean”

Service was good. Rooms were extremely comfortable with thermorest mattresses in rooms. Convenient location.

“Awesome”

Great hotel, and great location. Located right on the beach, within walking distance to just about everything on the island. Room was very clean and pretty big for the price. We would definitely stay there again.

I reserved the room off expedia and the front desk was very helpful, the cleaning crew came everyday. They changed the towels, took out the trash and vaccumed the carpet which is all we needed down. My kids enjoyed the pool so much and access to the beach was great.It was a great price great deal and great hotel. My son loved the Texas waffles.

“Very nice except for...”

The rooms were very nice, the workers were so polite, but the only thing I was not satisfied with is that the beach access allowed people off the street into the hotel pool. This 4th of July the pool was so full that I know not all the swimmers were guest at the hotel. Other than that I loved the hotel!!!

This resort has great beach access, and offers a wonderful breakfast. Live entertainment on fridays at pool side. Movies are provided every night not to mention happy hour each and every night. The rooms are very quite and very accommodating. We liked the in room safe, we found it very useful. The staff works around your schedule to provide you a very confortable stay. My wife and I had a great time. This is the best buy for a place to stay on the island.
