Good for this price

“Good hotel; Not bad.”

We found this hotel on a last minute search on Expedia. Given that this is the peak season for SPI, I was satisfied with the booking rate. The hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants and convenience stores. The hotel staff was very friendly and professional. The room itself was a regular room with king bed. It had a small kitchenette complete with a sink, microwave, refrigerator, shelve space and small electric stove. The mini bar (no drinks included!) was a nice touch. The only problem with the room was that the floor was a little dirty or "sandy". All else appeared to be in order. The swimming pool was not too bad and it is enclosed with a nice privacy fence. The only negative sides to the hotel may be the distance to the beach and if you are picky, the breakfast items. It is a good drive away from the nearest beach access. So obviously this could be a problem especially if you have small children. The breakfast items were limited to cold cereals (two choices), few cold breads, one waffle machine, coffee, juice and milk. All in all the hotel met our needs but you may consider something closer to the beach especially if you are planning a family vacation and have young children.

“would look somewhere else”

upon arrive we got nothing but bad attituded from the people there. they wer not helpful. Then next day my mother went to go and request to pay for an additional day and the young guy behind the counter was being very sarcastice with her and rude. My brother went up and did not like his tone with her and told my mother to let him handle it. I will not stay there again and rest asure that either will any of my family because of how my mother was treated. very bad customer service.

“Would visit again for the price”

The staff was courteous and professional. The room was clean and good for the price paid. Continental breakfast was satifactory but had a long wait. Overall, I would stay there again.

“Very Impressed”

This was my second time visiting SPI. Last year, I stayed at a pricier hotel a block away from this location and it was not as nice as this Super 8. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and spacious. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the amenities in the room. The hotel staff was friendly and the free continental breakfast was great. The location was also great. It is walking distance from several great restaurants and gift shops. The beach is not too far away either. I was very pleased with my Super 8 stay.

“A Block from the Beach”

Good value for money; Clean and roomy; Unless you must have a free breakfast, sleep in in the mornings. Proximity to the beach was the best feature, across SPI Blvd one block away.

“Unsatisfied stayer”

I was very dissatisfied with my stay. The hotel staff was friendly when I arrived, but when I got to my room that is when the problems began. The room wasn't bad, it smelled a little funky, but overall it was clean. The problem is the types of people who were by my room. My room was adjoining room, so we could hear the neighbors until 4am making all kinds of noise. The walls were paper thin. After spending a day on the water, that is not the kind of sleep I want to get. I thought Super 8 is a reputable hotel name, it had higher reviews online, but 5 minutes after I got there we almost left to go somewhere else. If it wasn't for my boyfriend being with me, I would have left. I will NEVER stay in a Super 8 again.

“It is OK for the price”

I was looking something cheap and i get it, but as well the conditions and comfort, in overall it was OK, I recomend this hotel if you need something cheap. If i need to go back to SPI, i will return to same place.
