Our arrival was stress free, with a prompt pick up from the station by one of your courtesy cars. The rom was well presented and clean, staff were very friendly and helpful a very relaxed stay.

Best night sleep

We had 3 adults in our party and all of us slept wonderfully which is not the norm in hotels. The A/C worked really well and was temperature controlled vs hi, med, low controlled. I thought it might be noisy being off the main road and it wasn't.

Location: Went to visit Stoneybrook University only 4 miles away
Only had the opportunity to stay overnight,but in that short time the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Would stay again and am comfortable referring to friends and family. Thanks

Pros: staff was very accommodating
Cons: bathrooms need updating
Having stayed at other hotels in the chain I was disappointed in this experience. The staff was terrific. Very accommodating. However, our room had light bulbs missing, and a chair that was broken. The breakfast was the most disappointing. The hostess could not get the pancake machine to work, the bagels were cold and their famous cinnamon rolls tasted like they came out of the freezer. Hopefully this is not a regular occurrence because the hotel looks like it has a lot to offer in the warmer season.

Sleepless in Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook

The hotel was clean and the day service was wonderful. Unfortunately the night service was VERY poor. The three rooms directly across the hall from our room partied all night until 3:30 in the morning. Slamming of their doors, constant yelling and music continued from 12:15 on. When we called the front desk to complain the night person Rebecca informed us that there were people attending a wedding in the area and it must be them. No apologizes or an offer to change the room or for her to address this. After the second call to the front desk 1 hr. later she said that she would come up and talk to them but she was busy checking in 50 people. At that point I got dressed and went to the front desk to talk to her directly, with doubts that she had 50 people checking in at 1:15 AM. I found no one at the front desk. About 2 hrs. later I had to take it upon myself to tell the people across the hall that I had a 6 month old and was being woken up every fifteen minutes and it this continued I was going to call the police. Nevertheless it shouldn't have gone on as long as it did and the hotel personal should of addressed this issue. This maybe a one time thing with the manager Rebecca, but I do feel that the night management was worthless. I will probably not return to this hotel in the future.

Bring your ear plugs

I have stayed at this hotel a few times on business. I would rate it just ok. It is clean and the front desk staff is helpful and friendly. The hall noise can get very loud at night and has woke me up a few times. This is always worse on the weekends with unattended children running through the hallways screaming, visiting sports teams hanging out in the hallway talking loudly and the drunks coming in at all hours of the night. There have been times when I had a meeting run very late and wanted to sleep in the next day but this is difficult because the housekeeping staff yell from one end of the hall to the other at each other contributing to the noise pollution. The room door lacks a dead bolt which makes me uneasy.

The staff of this hotel are very willing to heip guests. The room is comfort. But the types of breakfast are very few.

객실과 복도가 아주 청결하다고는 말할 수 없지만 청결한 편이고, 호텔셔틀이 편리하며 편의 시설도 다 갖추고 있습니다. 다만 호텔 바로 앞이 고속도로여서 마트가 가까이에 있지만 걸어다니기엔 위험하네요. 조식으로 나오는 빵들은 맛이 별로였구요, 과일만 맛있었습니다.

Nice Hotel for the money good access to the Ferry

Decent hotel for the rate. Excellent access to the ferry. They have a shuttle that will pick you up and bring you back to the ferry if you are not coming over with a car. Good access to dining establishments. Breakfast is ok.
