A short trip to SwanseaPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: The friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast isn't served until 9.00 am which might make it inconvenient fir business tripPerhaps a more substantial breakfast for the heartier appetites
Location: On the edge if the Gower and close to Swansea so lots of lovely bays and walks. The town itself us quaint and interesting.
Spent two nights at this lovely B&B. The staff were friendly and the small room had everything needed for a short break. The room is up a lot of steps so it's not suitable for the infirm. The continental buffet breakfast was served in the Cwtch Bar. It was enough for me but heartier appetites might have wanted more.

Weekend to explore GowerPosted Jun 2, 2014
Mumbles was a good location to explore Gower. The hotel staff were really friendly, the facilities lovely and they couldn't do too much for us. Everything was better than we expected and made the price reasonable. Great for anyone who likes boutique type hotels with character in the heart of the village. The only price to pay was the noise from the nightclub. It didn't disturb us but if you're a light sleeper and like to have the window open, you may want a room at the back which is probably quieter. Limited choice of eating places after about 9pm which we found out when we arrived late.

Comfy beds quirky cafePosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed one night and although the weather wasn't great we had a very warm welcome. Not much parking space but the staff helped us to with extra parking so it wasn't a problem. Would definitely make a return journey ! Nothing too much trouble and the extra touches we thought were lovely. The lack of plug points near mirrors was the only down side. All in all lovely B &B / cafe thanks

Small room for the costPosted May 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
You cant fault the location, cleanliness or friendliness of the staff but the room is far too small for the price. Literally couldn't swing a cat in the room. Also paying that much money and entering via outside metal steps is more suited to a hostel than the cost per night room for staying here.

Pros: Lovely rooms and modern bathrooms. Excellent continental breakfast and staff that were relaxed, informal and bent over backwards to help.
Location: In the heart of the Mumbles.
Charming little hotel crafted from a town house. Quirky Victorian architecture, wonderful view at rear and well appointed rooms.

lovely place hidden in plain sightPosted Mar 4, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed here for a weekend whilst in the area for a wedding. The team there couldn't be more polite and helpful. Check in was quick and easy, they even kept the kitchen open a little longer so we could have something to eat. The cafe it self is lovely and bustling on a Saturday lunch time. Ambiance is nice and its tastefully decorated. Food and drink quality is good. The Room was slightly on the small side but it has stunning views of the castle if you have a rear facing view. Room is well furnished and the bathroom was lovely and clean. Breakfast was a continental with really good quality baked pastries and unlimited tea and coffee. Maid service available which was an unexpected treat. There is private access to the the rooms from the rear of the cafe in case your worried about curfews etc. (That comes with some b&bs) All to be said we had a lovely weekend and have found a little gem hidden on the high street. If we go visiting the mumbles again we will be sure to stay here.

Generally okPosted Nov 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Nice people and nice rooms although quite small. Expensive but probably not out of keeping with the area. Unfortunately the room was cold when I arrived and you have to go outside to get to it.

Friendly and very helpful staffPosted Oct 9, 2013 on Hotels.com
Lovely rooms and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only slight issues were that the road outside our room was very noisy because of traffic and outside cafe seating just below our window. Also the rooms were separated from the cafe/bar by an outside wooden landing which was slippery when wet - even with the non slip mats, and a steep metal staircase, which could be hazardous in the wet and dark.

European feelPosted Oct 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Unusual to have rooms above a cafe but very well appointed and finished to a high standard, especially the bathroom. Although at the time of our visit there was a problem with the drains which caused an unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Service was very good and the breakfast was fresh with a good choice.(continental).
