“Swansea, April 2011 - Biking Wales”

Will be going back to visit Swansea and the bike park at Afan Valley again later in the year and will be using this hotel as a base. Its close to the city centre, but not directly in it. plenty of bars and cafes and the great Marina very close by. The sports facilities were very good..

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. Staff extremely friendly and happy to help with anything. Superb value, although bar drinks a bit overpriced. Beds were comfy but seemed to move easily away from wall if u sat with back against wall watching tv! Really clean rooms and definitely somewhere I would recommend to stay. Breakfast was great value too. Thank u for great stay

15 mins from central Swansea,lovely hotel but I would say that the beds need a bit of improving.

“Comfortable, spacious and close to town”

The Village hotel was a pleasant place to stay at. Staff were friendly and welcoming and although I didn’t use the on-site swimming pool and gym facilities, it is something open to all guests staying at this hotel. The room was surprisingly spacious with modern décor – sizes of hotel rooms tend to be on the small size with many hotels but The Village offer big rooms. Although the hotel is slightly out of the way in what seems like the middle of nowhere, it really is a 5 minute journey from the town centre by road so unless you have access to private transport or don’t mind paying for a cab, it’s not advisable if you’re on foot. If you are after peace and quiet, its location is ideal. The hotel can be quite busy as I discovered during my stay when there was a sporting event happening at the same time. All in all, I would stay here again.

Newly built hotel in renovated dockside location; close to local town. Hotel has good amenities; bar and restaurant on the ground floor; free wireless internet and a Starbucks coffee dock. Staff were friendly and food/service was good. We had breakfast included in our room rate and there was plenty of choices to offer. Restaurant required reservations which seemed odd to us as it wasn't that busy - we ate in the bar one night and it has a similar menu. Rooms were eco friendly, clean and the bed was comfortable; TV offered a range of channels. Overall, would stay again.

“very goog - but”

All was well at this hotel,helpful staff, comfortable beds, reasonably good dinner-but one drawback- breakfast, A buffet breakfast must be the easiest to make, 7 items of bulk cooking. my "but" refers to having to wait for 10 - 15 minutes on both days and then finding buffet not containing all items for some more minutes. While we waited there were clearly several empty tables which indicated not enough staff.

“Functional hotel ideal for a stop over or a base to stay for days”

Check in at reception was quick and efficient. The rooms were clean spacious. Very good IT for entertainment. (TV, Ipod docking station and free wifi). The pub / bar was busy and lively and had a good atmosphere. Continental breakfast was very good but the hot plate less so. The hotplate wasn't staffed, eggs were late in coming out and when they did it was only 4 fried eggs which for a hotel that appeared busy was not satisfactory. Apart from the hot breakfast I enjoyed my stay, will be using it again and would recommend it to others.

the staff and rooms were very good and solved a minor problem i had effeciantly. breakfast was very good. the only bad comment i had was the cleanliness in the ladies changing room
