Pros: Easy access to M!. Clean tidy functional. Reasonable bedroom. Quiet when we were there.
Cons: Bed width ! Make it 5' or even 6'.
Location: Very easy access to J37 of M!
This is a no frills hotel at a good price. The bedroom is functional : it has everything you want although at 4'6" the bed was a little narrow for us! If you keep the window shut , the traffic noise is minimal: the hotel is on a busy road near the M!. The breakfast is generous and, at £7 , good value for money!

Ramada Encore BarnsleyPosted Oct 27, 2014
Pros: It was quiet in the rooms
Cons: Staff service was disappointing. Rooms are pokey compared to Premier Inn
Location: Just off the M1.
Don't expect fast service in the restaurant go to the Carvery next door for that. But other than that OK for a budget hotel. Very quiet despite being right next door to a train line and just off the M1. No noise at all in the rooms.

Better than expectedPosted May 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
Cheaper and significantly better than the holiday inn less than a mile away. I'd stay here again any day.

The hotel is good for the approach from outside,itPosted May 19, 2014
On entering it has the atmosphere of a hospital, with no staff interaction,or offer of help.many rooms such as ours have a busy M1 right outside the window, along with a busy rail line.On our Saturday night was also blessed with an early hours disco thumping until 0100hrs.the location would attract travellers, don't expect much rest.Breakfast seem to come as a surprise to the staff,At no one time was all the breakfast ready

In general a good hotel in good condition. Internet was down for my whole stay, not helped by next to no cell phone signal (Vodafone).
