Had an executive room which overlooked Regent park which was good. The room was clean enough and had the basic facilities, which was adequate for a one night stay. About 5 or 6 rooms share an enclosed entrance so I was awoken before 5am by a man taking his dog out, then back, then out again, then back again, each time allowing the door to slam shut behind him. (Why are some folks incapable of easing a fire door shut out of consideration for others?) I mean - dogs in hotel rooms? It’s an old building so maybe you can excuse the plumbing, but I still do not like to hear when someone flushes the loo or takes a shower (I’m talking about other rooms here, not mine) I arrived earlier than my check in time, and the friendly receptionist allowed me to park my car after leaving my registration on my check in card. This was a bonus as the car park is the size of a postage stamp and soon fills up. Breakfast is not included in the room rate so I didn’t partake and the hotel was in darkness after 10:45 pm, the only bar in use by no one being the small one near reception, so I cannot comment on the hotel facilities. In summary, it’s a decent enough hotel, it’s close to the centre near bars/ restaurants. Staff are friendly and my room was clean enough. Allowing dogs to stay in hotel rooms may be acceptable for some but not for me I’m afraid. I wouldn’t let my review put you off staying here, as it’s just that, my personal review, but an honest one. Unfortunately, I won’t be staying again.
