Really pleasant stay

We were looking for someplace to stay within about an hour of Boston. This place was really lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building was a beautiful mix of historic structure and modern addition.

Wonderful New England hotel with all the amenities

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, large seating area for relaxing in the evenings, BEST beds at a hotel, good food and so much to do!
Location: Southbridge is a small town, but beautiful. Old Sturbridge Village is nearby. Vienna Restaurant (Austrian) is very close to the hotel and wonderful.
This hotel is one of the best I've stayed at. The lobby area is large and has many comfortable chairs and tables for sitting with family & friends. There are darts and billiards, a wonderful pool & hot tub, a great gym with racquet ball and basketball courts, and a nice bar area full of tables and chairs to relax. We read and played board games in the bar/lobby area both nights and had such a great time. The beds were my favorite part. They were even more comfortable then my bed at home. When I checked out, I asked for the type of mattresses and pillows they used. You don't always get a good night's sleep at a hotel, but everyone I stayed with was raving about the beds. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. It was Thanksgiving weekend, and I always appreciate staff who has to work while we're on vacation. The front desk reception area and staff were helpful and warm and the bartender was the same both nights and she was great. We ate at the hotel restaurant both mornings for breakfast, once off the menu and then the buffet. The staff was great and the food was too. We really wanted to have a New England Thanksgiving, and this was the perfect place to do it. We were comfortable and there was so much to keep us entertained when we were indoors.

Nice hotel with a lot to offer

Overall experience was good. The only complaint I have is guest parking is mostly at the back of the hotel making it inconvenient and uncomfortable for coming and going in bad weather.

Every thing about the stay was perfect. Parking was a little difficult though, but once you figure it out it wasn't that bad.

Great for an autumn weekend escape

Pros: The extras in the room: refrigerator, coffee, iron, hair dryer etc.
Cons: The cable and wifi.
Location: Old Sturbrige Village is fun. Lots of great restaurants: The Publick House and Rovezzis are both top notch. Don't miss June's Bakeshop in Brookfield.
Loved this hotel! Very modern. Appreciated the extras in the room: refrigerator, coffee, iron, hair dryer etc. Staff very helpful and nice. Highly recommend it.
