A nice room

Posted Mar 11, 2015
Pros: Location/had restaurant
Cons: Eliminate the smoking!
Location: Close to mall and restsurants
Since they allow smoking in some rooms, it seems to permeate ghe hallways and elevators. Also it was very noisy even in early morning hours. Bed was great. Room was nice. Rrstaurant was good but we were the only patrons

Much better than we expected - going back!

Posted Oct 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
We were very pleasantly surprised by our stay! This is the nicest Holiday Inn we've ever stayed in . The staff was friendly, rooms very clean, and lobby simply luxurious. The pool and hot tub were very clean and the pool water was actually warm! We are so sick of going to hotels only to find the pool to too cold even think of taking a leisurely swim in. The hotel restaurant menu was extremely limited, and, as such, we only ate in there once for breakfast. We left for dinner. That was kind of a bummer because we were looking forward to just staying in and doing room service one night, but they only had 4 entrees and my husband wasn't excited about any of them. Fortunately, we were surrounded by dozens and dozens of other options!! This Holiday Inn is adjacent to many restaurants and a mall! Pretty much anything you could ever want is just a stone's throw. However, because of the hideous construction going on right now, we did get turned around a lot and it took us 20 minutes to get to the steak house right next door the first time. That's not the hotel's fault, though. I'm sure they are just as frustrated with the construction.

Decent but overpriced for the quality.

Posted Oct 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
Arrived 9:00 pm. Staff quick & courteous. Room just OK. Needs updating. Got up early. Check out quick but no receipt available since reservation made through a third party. Did not like that. Needed receipt since this was a business trip. Limited number of restaurants nearby.

Wonderful place to stay!

Posted Aug 30, 2014
Pros: The lobby has a waterfall and pool with comfortable seating around it; very relaxing after driving and sightseeing all day!
Cons: The hotel is great but hard to access right now due to the road construction around it.
Location: We spent time at the Wright Patterson AFB and Orville & Wilbur Wright Museum in Dayton, 1 hr. away. It's near Cincinnati, no time to go there.
We are into the third week of traveling across the country, driving and staying in a new hotel every night (luggage in, luggage out). This hotel and our room was wonderful!

Not happy with our stay.

Posted Aug 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
We requested 2 double beds, because we reserved the room through a third party, they gave us a king bed. In the room we had they have installed new shower with no instructions in the room on how to use it. The restaurant is way overpriced for the quality of the food and service. Our server would not help us, only the hostess would offer any kind of service and the food was barely room temperature.. The second morning we went to a restaurant which is within walking distance, cheaper, great service, and great hot food.. We were there almost a year ago and they are still doing have road construction which can be confusing. Nice location though, easy to get to everything we wanted to do.

Very nice hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
We loved our king suite!!! I booked a regular king room but they got sold before we arrived so they gave us a king suite! It was very cozy, and nice. We would have enjoyed our stay had our little boy not gotten sick in the night and we spent our entire next day nursing him back to health enough that we could get him the three hrs back home where he wanted to be not feeling well. We didn't get to stay our second night in order to get him home, he was very ill. So we spent quite a bit on the hotel plus the aquarium tickets and never got to enjoy any of it, but I would definantely recommend the hotel to others, the staff was very nice and helpful and everything was clean and tidy. Plenty of towels and pillows. The road construction in the area was a bummer, but it was all through Cincinnati. It was our only chance to get away this summer, and it bummed me out we didn't get to enjoy it. I would have liked to have really enjoyed that king suite, but being a mommy comes first.

Thanks Jocelyn for staying with us and for the wonderful comments! I apologize that the room you had booked was sold before you got here, but am very happy that you enjoyed your king suite! I am so sorry to hear your son got sick, I do wish you got to enjoy more of what our hotel and the city of Cincinnati have to offer! Hopefully you come back to see us next summer, and you are able to enjoy it a little more this time! Thanks again, hope to see you soon!

Comfortable beds and pillows

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Beds, pillows, quiet a/c.
Cons: As mentioned, more attention to detail relative to room amenities - nothing worse than having to ask for something that should have been there
Overall we enjoyed the hotel - room was very clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable and the air conditioner was quiet. We had to ask for a new ironing board (broken) and some coffee condiments (missing), so it seems that more attention to detail by the housekeeping supervisor is needed. The lobby is a far walk from the rooms, however, room access is quick and easy from the side door and parking was abundant. We stayed four nights and never received a newspaper as other rooms did -I am assuming this is an a availability issue. There were some in the lobby, however, it would have been a nice touch to receive one under our door since we stayed for several nights.

Close to direct route to meeting location

The room was very nice and clean. No hair dryer was found in the room. The location has large amount of road construction making entering and exiting difficult.
