Staff, was fabulous,rooms clean nicely sized. Hairdryer was broken. No biggy. Great breakfast, easy parking. We where able to walk everywhere! The ONLY downside is, that you are near the university. Lots of students, lots of parties, delivery trucks starting delayed at 0500. Earplugs where provided. Also just close the windows and metal blinds. Great little place!

Good choice.
The hotel about 10 minutes from the train station so easy to walk there. It's in a good location near the GrosMinster church and daily farmer’s market. Breakfast is included. It is a simple spread but good and manned by attentive staff. Friendly desk staff. Room was comfy and quiet. Has a small shower but easy to get in and out of.

The staff was excellent. The breakfast was delicious with hot scrambled eggs and all the food you needed. The unlimited coffee was especially appreciated for those with jet lag.

Overall the place was great it’s family-owned. Everyone goes out of their way for you and they are very nice! The location is amazing right off the main street shopping is closed transport is close. The only improvement is may be a refrigerator in the room which I mentioned to the owner.

The venue was very convenient to all central city places; the staff were very professional, friendly and supportive; cleaning was excellent and the breakfast the best of any hotel so far experienced in Germany.

The staff members in this hotel were wonderful and provided ideas and assistance on places to eat and things to see. The hotel is on the edge of the old city and has parking available.

Location is awesome. walking distance to just about everywhere in Freiburg. Difficult to find, at least for us. Do not rent room #202, very noisy in the morning, starting just before 0700, due to delivery trucks, sweeping trucks, garbage pickups, etc right across from room 2002 for a business across the street. Parking per night in their garage is 10 Euro, which I find was ok.

The City Hotel is clean and modern with bright and colorful rooms and lots of windows. The staff are cheerful and very helpful to travelers unfamiliar with their city. I was hospitalized with a broken wrist while vacationing and they were kind enough to extend our reservation and very helpful in letting us use their facilities to communicate with our insurance company and re-book our travel plans. I can't say enough about their kindness and thoughtfulness.

Great hotel and location
I was staying in Freiburg on business and did some sightseeing as well. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and very welcoming. The location is fantastic everything worth seeing is within a few minutes walk. The room was spotless and extremely spacious with a very comfortable bed. I travel on business every week and stay in at least 2 different hotels a week so when I say I can’t fault this hotel it’s a first. I would highly recommend it for a mini break or business.

A great base to experience Freiburg
I stayed here for six nights on a trip for work. Clean, very functional hotel with an attentive staff and a well-done breakfast. WiFi works well. The location is particularly good - right in the heart of the old city and very close to restaurants and amenities

Good location
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is nicely situated near the altstadt (old town) with everything in walking distance. Check-in was straightforward and the room (208) was comfortable but had a musty odour which was difficult to clear even by opening the window. The room felt stuffy and there is no air conditioning (a fan was provided). The hotel has underground parking, which is convenient, but there is a 10 Euro/day charge which they didn't mention until check out. Also be aware that the lifts don't go down to the parking garage, making it difficult to bring heavy luggage up from a vehicle. Overall we had a pleasant stay with a few relatively minor but unpleasant surprises.

Close to City Centre
Highly recommended. This is a modern hotel close to the city centre. The rooms were clean & tidy, the staff were extremely friendly & helpful & made us very welcome on our first visit to this beautiful city. Other benefits include onsite parking, and complimentary breakfast.

Two Night Stay in Freiburg
This property is located on the outskirts of the old town. Once you arrive and get parked in their garage, everything is accessible by foot. That said, I would look elsewhere before booking here again. The room was very clean and breakfast was good. However, there is no AC and the surrounding area is a little noisy. So sleeping with the windows wide open can be a challenge. Additionally we are non-smokers. As they allow smoking just outside the reception door, you are greeted with smoke every time you enter/leave the property. As another side note, I feel like the property could communicate via email a little better. We arrived to an absolute mayhem of road construction making it virtually impossible to find a road into the hotel. After parking and walking around on foot to get to the hotel, we were able to talk with the front desk and get directions for driving to their parking garage. This headache could have been avoided by a simple email from them prior to our arrival giving us a "heads up" and some simple directions.

Reasonable price great location
A nice hotel Nice room layout very clean and well designed. The location is great for shopping and restaurants and is approximately a block and a half to two blocks from the cities old town. Additionally it was easy access from the rail station. I would definitely stay there again

Overall, hotel was nice. Small room but clean and fine for what we needed. Great area of Freiburg and parking on site. Breakfast area is quite small so try to avoid popular times if you can.
