Rather dullPosted May 26, 2014
A useful hotel for passing through. Very central, close to the marina, beach etc. Clean and smart but gloomy and soul-less with very little character.

Lovely old hotel with modern touchesPosted Oct 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a lovely hotel - i had a balcony room overlooking the street near where Napoleon Bonaparte was born - about 10 steps away. Its quiet but near great places to eat and a beach, the staff are wonderful, loved breakfast and enjoyed the modern bathrooms. Its close to a sunday market where you can act quintessentially french - buying local fruit (clementines and grapes), olives, ham, cheese and baguettes. I completely recommend doing this as the food is amazing. This hotel is close to everything that you would want to be near. i loved staying here.

Lovely hotel in great locationPosted Oct 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had a lovely stay here before catching an early flight back to London and were happy with the cleanliness of our room and location of hotel. The hotel did charge us an extra few euro's for so called city tax even though our booking including all taxes but the lady didn't listen so we paid. Also, avoid comsuming water from the mini bar which was expensive! Otherwise, very pleasant stay.

I expected a much nicer place.Posted Sep 10, 2013
Pros: well located even without a view, as you are near all the main interesting sites in Ajaccio. Room clean.
Cons: staff should be nicer and more helpful, light brighter in the room, a few extras in the room, a bit of happier decoration, a more diverse menu etc
Location: near napoleon Bonaparte's birth place and many other great sites to visit. Gorgeous seashore.
Location: a block from the port. No sea view. Old building with nice façade and patio restaurant, but rooms are super modern, dark, black and white, stripped of anything of the old elegance they must have had in the past. Not even a pen to write in the room. One of the sink's stop in the bathroom was not working. Staff barely nice. No parking on arrival and vague instructions on where to find a place to park near the narrow one way street where the hotel is located. Wanted to celebrate a birthday that night but their restaurant in the patio only served meat - we are vegetarian- and they had music being played till early morning hours which means no way you could sleep well either. A big disappointment and not a good value at all even at Expedia's special rate of $250 a night. They could have warned us in advance about the fact they only have 4 parking spaces and they have to be reserved in advance. No info or local magazine in the room.

Room extremely expensive for something unexpectedPosted Jun 1, 2013
Room extremely expensive for something unexpected. There are better hotels in Ajaccio, where at least the price you pay is for the service you get. Don't recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice staffPosted May 30, 2013
The hotel is in a great location. Staff very friendly and helpful! The issue I had was the Wifi wasn't working in the room and was down while we where there. I couldn't get the wifi working even in the lobby. The breakfast was nice, but the jazz/blues in the bar was cheezy at best.
