“A Backpackers Dream”

This hotel is suited to backpackers not the elderly or familys otherwise the staff are friendly helpful. The place is well kept and the area is great.

“7am maintenance? Really?”

My bed was immensely uncomfortable and squeaked with every movement. The bed my friend had was fine, though, so YMMV. The rooms were also tiled, not carpeted. I'd rather have carpet in my room, personally. We were woken at 7am by a guy directly outside our window cutting pavers. I understand that hotels have maintenance to be taken care of, but does this have to start at 7am when your guests are on holiday and would like to sleep in? It's a decent and affordable place. Nothing special, but it's clean and certainly better than many places i've stayed.

“Hotel Southport/Arriival Accomodation”

I thought I had booked into a hotel, it was advertised as Hotel Southport. It is NOT a hotel. It is a dirty, small, noisy hostel with insufficient bathroom facilities. I booked a double and single room for 2 adults and 1 child. After seeing the state and size of the room I went down to the desk to complain, but there were no staff in attendance. I left the key and walked out.
