“near FIT”

best part of the hotel is its location- right on the beach- ok pool, didn't get our room cleaned one day

“wish i could have stayed longer!”

Love this hotel. the outside is a bit run down and it appears as if there's some sort of construction going on although no one was working on it. It's right on the beach which is lovely (although i could live w/o the chair/umbrella rental fees). the room was a suite w/a living room side and a bedroom side which is nice with a teenager (i loved this quality when the kids were young because i stayed up later. now they stay up later than me!). the bedroom was a little tight but the beds were super comfortable and there's a nice little deck overlooking the ocean. were only there for one night on business but would have loved to stay for a week!

“hotel of choice”

Great location, friendly staff. Nice to have a sitting room separate from bedroom when on vacation. rooms are clean and have beachfront view. Ie stayed here twice and will stay here the next time i stay in the area.

June is a good time to go. It rains A LOT in July.

“Got to see the sun rise”

Had the best time there ,food was good,the day time bartender there is the best always on time with orders food or drinks she is the best. we wish her the best hope to see her again soon.our stay was the best surfing skim boarding and boogie boards ,food and drinks, all i can say is check it out for your self.

“Not quite up to Doubletree standards.”

Easy check in. No luggage carts in sight. No offer of assistance up to my room, no biggy. My room door was rusty. Upon entering my room, smelled of bleach, which while annoying, assures me that the joint is clean, extra points. Two flat screen TVs, nice! No towel racks to hang hand towels to dry, not nice. Comfy bed! AC was noisy, it never turned off and it could never get the room below 71 degrees F, even at night. Shower smelled of mildew at first, though I never smelled it again. Stupid toilet seat would not stay in up position. It was real fun holding the seat up while I try to aim. Sink would make a glug-glug sound after each use as the plumbing would suck air past the P trap. Nice view from the Balcony. I stayed 5 nights total. Ethernet internet access did not work for 3 days. Called the front desk first day. They told me to call 800 number. 800 number people seemed to do their job. Long story short, while the people working at the hotel are well meaning and very nice, none seemed very tech savvy and lacked follow through the first 2 days. On third day they offered to move me to new room. No, I was all settled, please just fix internet. Maintaining a hotel in Florida's climate with salty air can't be easy, I get it, but that means you have to try harder. Overall, an average experience. Nice things made up for the annoyances.

Right on the beach, ask for 3rd floor or higher to see the surf. Hotel staff ver friendly and helpful!

If you like burgers go to Ichabods, just a quarter mile north of the hotel.

“Wonderful Experience”

We had high expectations for this motel and was pleasantly pleased! For some reason the cleaning didnt get done the first day we stayed there, but they made up for it and came right away upon our request. The staff was so friendly...our room was just as described and very comfortable. The view from our room was perfect!! The convience to the beach was awesome....we couldnt have asked for more from this place. The pool was wonderful, the poolside bar had great pina colodas!

“Not Impressed”

The hotel staff was not very friendly. Went for breakfast one morning and the service was horrible. The food was just okay, but when things ran out no one refilled the juice, etc. Really expected more for this hotel to be associated with Hilton.. Went for happy hour at the pool side bar. Sign read 2-4-1 from 5-7pm. When ordering was told the 2-4-1 was for domestic beer only. Very deceiving. Next time will try one of the other hotels along the beach.

“Great location, tired hotel”

The location was perfect...right on the ocean. The staff was extremely helpful. The room was adequate, but needed some serious updating. The HVAC system was not working well (not to mention extremely noisy) and we were too warm during the night. There was no bathtub and the bathroom was very small. That being said, this place would probably be great for families, or extended stay as it had a separate 'living room' area with a fold-out couch and a pocket door that separated the two.

Area recommendations

Melbourne Beach/Indiatlantic was a great area to stay. We had wonderful meals at the locally-owned restaurants along 5th Street. And, there are plenty of other options as well including the chain restaurants.

For a great burrito - Da kine Diegos in Sattelite Beach; Hip dining with great service - Scott's on Fifth (get the pesto!); Some pretty original seafood dishes - Island Grill; Incredible pastries and seriously good cappuccinos - Panita bakery & cafe.

“Great Place to stay”

This was our 2nd time there and it was amazing! The beds are very comfortable. The pool is great, the poolside bar was nice as well. Every room faces the ocean. We will definitely return.
