“Good location to beaches, resturants.”

Very nice place. Very clean, close to wonderful beaches, shopping and many choices of places to eat in the area. My only complaint was the bed...not as comfy as I would have liked..but the room was spotless...and large! That was a nice surprise. Would definately stay there again.

“Good deal for the money”

It is easy to imagine The Lexington full of holiday visitors and I suspect it would be a great place to stay with family, there is a nice looking pool and it is less than a 5 minute drive to one of the many beautiful beaches in the area. The rooms are generous in size, ours included an interior door and a door that opened out poolside. There was a goodsized dressging area just off the bath that included a fridge and micro wave. There was plenty of storage for a weeks worth of clothing. The room was a little tired looking but clean and after two days on the road my husband and daughter and I were looking forward to a good nights sleep. Alas, that was not to be had. I think the mattresses on the double bed might have been older than my 23 year old daughter, they were saggy, lumpy and just plain uncomfortable and the pillows were in the same condition only limper and flatter if that was possible, I wanted to like the Lexington, I really did, it would have been a perfect place to direct visitors in our new hometown, but I would not consign anyone to those beds.

Area recommendations

Any of the beaches in the Melbourne area! Brevard County, and many of the towns themselves have wonderful beach parks that boast beatiful beaches. Many have children's play areas, all have places to picnic along with clean restrooms and outdoor showers to remove some of the sand and salt after your visit. The beaches right off the 3 Melbourne Causeways are always busy, probably beacause that is the first place that visitors come, but if you take the New Haven/192 causeway over and go south you will find many more parks that begin to contain fewer and fewer people (especially on weekends) If you feel more comfortable with a life guard on duty, visit the Howard Futch Memorial park ( turn right on A1a off the Eau Gallie Causeway) The park has a great kids area complete with a rock climbing "wall", a beautiful expanse of beach and an area that is watched over by life guards. Unless you venture down to the State Park at Sebastian Inlet there are no charges or fees. Pets are not allowed except for service animals. Do remember to bring your own snacks and beverages as there are no concessions and don't forget your sunscreen!

“Place to sleep if you need to”

The hotel seemed old, seemed clean but far from standard. No elevator to the second floor, the room was tiny, and everything seemed extremely outdated.

“Love the Lexington!”

We traveled on a red-eye from California, arrived in Orlando at 8AM. On the drive from Orlando, we called the hotel and requested an early check in. They graciously had our room ready when we arrived at 10:30! Wonderfully helpful staff...

“Wonderful Lexington”

The hotel receptionist was excellent, they had us in a second floor room, I asked for the first floor got that and two double beds. This hotel was within .6 miles of a party which was very convenient and we would stay there again without question. Expedia stated a continental breakfast, which because of the economy the hotel had dispensed with months ago and so told Expedia. Expedia also indicated the price did not include all taxes, but it did.

“Nothing spectacular”

The room in which we stayed is sorely in need of some renovation. The walls appeared to have some water damage. The bed linens, although old and out of date, were clean. The plumbing in that room was ineffective. Could not get hot water from the wash basin unless the water in the bath tub was turned on first. There is a motor in the bathroom ceiling area that was not able to be silenced. The swimming pool was not usable, it needed cleaning. The sitting area outside the room, facing the swimming pool and the restaurant, was dirty and had dripping water from a pipe. The water sat in puddles near room's exit door. The common areas (reception desk and hallway areas) are well kept and pleasing to the eye. They, however, are deceptive. Since these are the areas I first encountered I expected the room to be in a better condition than I found it.

Traveler's tip

No real attractions except for the usual eating establishments. Did visit the public beach one day. Had to drive to Melbourne for all other activites.

“Nice, clean older hotel”

The hotel is older and a little worn, but clean, freshly painted, easy to find, all the ammenities you need, with a nice pool and outdoor terraces to sit at. The staff is extremely kind and helpful.
